Ms. Davis is sitting in jail by her own choice. The battle over gay marriage(?) is not going to be won or lost because of her valid religious issues. She is certainly within her rights to refuse to support marring queers, but she needs to accept the consequences and resign her office.

I suppose this is the question of the hour, but if you are comfortable with the Washington Cartel retaining power and destroying America, go ahead and cast your lot with any of the other candidates. It should be clear by now that the Republican Party plan is to roll the next election to the liberals who will win again and and Cartel will continue to bleed the country dry. This is the cold hard reality of the situation so choose carefully. Trump, who doesn’t meet the true Conservative litmus test, is a winner. Look at the polls. He clearly is head and shoulders above Bush or any of the liberals who will be anointed otherwise.

They changed the rules by fiat as far as what she took an oath to defend and uphold.
What law has been changed? Its KY law that marriage is between a man and a woman, so now there is no law because SCOTUS struck it down as unconstitutional. Now she has no authority to issue a license because no marriage law in KY exists.
When the KY legislature comes back with a new law, and if it is not in accordance with her belief, then yes she will have to consider if she will resign, or not.
Do you realize how dangerous this is, have you considered that all peoples of Christian faith can be foisted out of Government positions, Military included?

I think the confusion for them is that they dont understand that Trump is approaching governing like a CEO approaches business.
CEOs routinely look for the best choice on a course of action to take out of the options provided. So for many on the right, it seems like Trump isnt “committed” to conservatism when in fact he is looking to be presented with the best argument and solutions to tackle an issue.
He does in fact change his mind, and isnt ashamed of it. Which inside of the full left/right political spectrum where many of us are very much set in how we would deal with a variety of issues, it seems very strange. Almost suspicious.
However, Trump has a good foundation on many key issues that makes conservatives comfortable with his style of populism because he is drawing the best solutions from the right and also selling it to disaffected Democrats, moderates, and even to minority groups, not as Mr. ideology, but as a guy that has run things in the real world extremely well and therefore can be trusted when he runs on much of the same platform. Not to mention that both sides of the political divide openly attacks him, so that tells lots of independents that he must be a guy they can support.

So seems to me he is a pissed off Cruz man. Pissed off that The Donald has rendered Cruz irrelevant. I like Cruz but he has no campaign war chest and never will. IOW he is a vanity candidate who you feel good supporting but who is going nowhere in this presidential race.
I didn’t run, but if I reply to every moan on here , all the replies will become a game of tag. I’d rather people dispel or argue the points I made rather than devolve into back and forth name calling and chiding.
