Hey, why don’t we just continue to elect those from the political class. Obviously, our government has prospered immensely with these fine folks. /sarc

Trumps edges are not rough, they are well honed and sharp it is the art of a successful confidence man on full display, what you see is not what you get.

Another Freeper (can't remember who) said that while Trump might not be the person to move the country in the right direction, he just might be the one to stop the country from moving in the current wrong direction.

Then the next president after Trump (hopefully a true conservative...Cruz maybe), can put things right. Trump as the brakes, then Cruz later on as the steering wheel. Works for me.

I enjoyed the piece and had no idea Mr. Trump had a book out about how to bring America back to greatness. I don’t mean to be nitpicky, but it does seem like whoever Mr. Cain depends on to proof read his articles dropped the ball in the first few paragraphs.

My reason for remaining favorable toward a Trump presidency is this: I know the guy, and I know how he operates, and I am convinced that his track record as a decision-maker and executive leader in business, combined with his policy proposals, convinces me that if he were president, he would mostly have the right priorities and would be effective at achieving them.

This is it in a nutshell. I cannot fathom why most people cannot grasp this simple concept. This is EXACTLY why we need to get behind Trump at this point. The bottom line is that Trump is not beholden to anyone. He does not need to fear polling and such, and he won't. When it comes to getting the job done, he will, and he'll do it fearlessly, which is exactly what America needs at this point.

“I’m starting to think we might be lucky. He’s self-identified as a conservative Republican, not a liberal Democrat. He could have come down on the other side. Then we’d really be screwed. Maybe we need to start thinking about embracing his populism? I’m morphing toward Cruz as his VP choice, which I think is possible. Otherwise, I don’t see anyone on the Pub side gaining traction against the Dim nominee. Hard to imagine.”

Above is my post from earlier today. In a perfect world, I'm squarely for Cruz for Prez. I've given significant money to his campaign already. But if Trump survives, that is an “if”, though I'm starting to think it likely given his resilience, then his popularity could carry him all the way to the Oval Office. If so, I sure would like Cruz down the hall form him.

First of all, it will be known as “Trump, the Presidency” and feature George Ross as Chief of Staff. Don Jr. will be the press secretary and Ivanka can do whatever she wants.
