Back during the government shutdown of 2013, Carly Fiorina told CNN’s The Lead that she felt badly for Boehner and blamed the shutdown on Ted Cruz and Obama:
Everybody could see this train wreck coming. I actually feel badly for John Boehner. I think this is Ted Cruz and President Obama’s shutdown. I think Ted Cruz’s tactics were wrong.
There’s no honor in charging a hill that you know you can’t take, only casualties, although Ted Cruz maybe got name recognition and money along the way. But President Obama wanted this shutdown. And Ted Cruz played right into his hands.
She correctly noted that Obama’s refusal to negotiate led to the shutdown, but said that when Obama publicly refuses over and over to negotiate, he empowers the ‘flamethrowers’.
Carly defended calling it Ted Cruz’s shutdown later in the interview in response to Tapper noting that most Republicans in both the Senate and the House don’t want the government shutdown:
“That’s why I called it Ted Cruz’s shutdown as well as president Obama’s”

The only thing that surprised me about that debate is how many of those candidates have been hiding all that staunch conservatism all these years. How much they all understood voter anger, uh huh. LOL
I didn’t learn anything new in that debate.
Carly Fiorina is the next GOP VP candidate, come hell of high water ... it all has to do with the letter “V” ... for “Victory” ...

Been thick with Rove for years
Although she was wrong to oppose Cruz, she was very mild and respectful (unlike many others, including on the right) in stating her reasoning).
So as there are few cases like this where she’s been wrong, she remains one of my favorites - after Cruz.
Carly definitely isn’t in my top tier of candidates, but I would vote for her if she won the primary.
She’s definitely been shooting herself in the foot lately.
Rove and his RINO PAC (American Crossroads) directly supported Fiorina to the tune of over 1 million dollars, when she ran & lost in the 2010 Senate race in Calf..
That's the year the Tea-Party won Congress back for the GOP - and yet all Rove & the RINOs could talk about is the few Tea-Party backed candidates who lost. Of cause he did this without mentioning his 2010 losing RINO candidates - including Fiorina and Calf. Governor candidate Meg Whitman.
Not good. Like everyone, I will be evaluating all the candidates.
So she isn’t a conservative, she criticizes Hillary. Maybe a cat fight is enough for some folks? /s
