When we first unveiled Windows 10 in September, we outlined our plans for a new era of Windows. We wanted to create a Windows that empowered people and organizations to do great things. Our vision was one platform, one store, and one experience that extends across the broadest range of devices from the smallest screens to the largest screens to no screens at all.
For Microsoft, Windows 10 begins to deliver on our vision for more personal computing. In this world experiences are mobile, moving with you seamlessly and easily across your devices. Interacting with technology is as natural as interacting with people using voice, pen, gestures and even gaze for the right interaction, in the right way, at the right time. And in our connected and transparent world, we respect your privacy and help protect your information.
From the beginning, Windows 10 has been unique built with feedback from five million Windows Insiders, delivered as a service with ongoing innovations and security updates, and offered as a free upgrade* to genuine Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 customers.

Your whole paycheck has been profiting off of FIXING WINDOWS !By that logic, your ex-wife doing all that debugging was profiting from fixing her own busted code.

Nope she's there to shut the Oil wells down at the bottom end of the pipe, when told to,
and she's there to make sure the programs are up to date, and secure.

Surely you jest !So you'll only tell people how to do things you've never done as long as you're anonymous and safely out of reach.

I've linked to PROOF about the
PROBLEMS with WINDOWS 10.
So don't take my word for it; take a PROFESSIONAL'S WORD for it !
Money spent on ANY P.C. that runs WINDOWS ... IS
MONEY WASTED !

The "De-Bugger" Programs and protected area of memory, is for CREATING PROGRAMS and INSURING they work with NO DEFECTS ... BEFORE you load them INTO a BUSINESS SYSTEM !
But you'd need EXPERIENCE in learning HOW to do that, or ACTUALLY DOING IT, ... to understand.

But you don't need to know anything more than you'd learn from sitting on the couch surfing the 'net to install and maintain an enterprise computer network in an IBM mainframe shop, eh?

For someone who supposedly "worked in IT for about 40 years", you sure don't have the knowledge base, if you consider questions like that, a serious response.

You're the one defending WINDOWS's latest piece of garbage.
Not me.

I know enough to know not to be taking advice from somebody that doesn't understand the differences between pen testing, unit testing an debugging.

You're the one defending WINDOWS's latest piece of garbage. Not me. And I'm the one that'll be using it and answering to my boss for the results.

You're the one that trying to KEEP YOPUR INCOME, selling others on buying an Operating system that REQUIRES CONSTANT "FIXING".
But most of those "Information Technologies" of Arts students didn't have the grades to become Computer Programmer of Science Graduates.
They could't pass the math or the "Coding" courses.
At best, they were glorified administrative clerks.

I attempted the upgrade last night. Plain vanilla environment.
Windows 8.1 w/ no add on’s. 100% stock. No drivers because no peripherals.
Lenovo laptop. < 2 years old.
Upgrade failed. Restored back to 8.1. Data collected and sent back to Microsoft.
Pathetic.

I came in this morning to find that one of my test machines had spontaneously upgraded. I haven’t clicked on the update advisory on any of my machines.
Naturally since it is built on a foundation of an evaluation ISO it won’t activate. And it isn’t giving me a countdown - but I expect one to pop up any time.
