We have waited for a conservative, articulate candidate like Cruz for over 30 years. He is everything we as conservatives have been looking for but unable to find.
And now here he is. But unfortunately, it's been so long since a conservative actually ran for President that people seem to have forgotten what one looks and sounds like. Someone literally told me last night on a thread that "the era of Reagan is over" and that it's "impossible" for a conservative to get elected POTUS.
Oh really? Name me the last Republican Nominee since Reagan that actually ran as a conservative?
The polls showing Trump "surging" for saying what people want to hear from their leaders should at a minimum give hope to the grassroots and the base that they still play the key role in the nominating contest. If Trump can get that high on words, then there's no reason that Cruz cannot either.
President Cruz has the potential to be one of the greatest Presidents in our history if given the chance because I believe he will set out to do what he has promised. And that's the deciding factor for Cruz getting to the White House and succeeding: TRUST.
Hopefully I'm not the only Cruz supporter left out here.
Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz....
Cruz.
TC, by a mile.
Trump is no Constitutionalist, which is sorely needed.
In terms of his grasp of our governmental system I haven't heard anyone like him for 35 years.
Definitely Cruz.
Cruz.
Cruz
Cruz trumps Trump.
Cruz.
Not even close.
>>>> TED MF’N CRUZ <<<<
*But I appreciate the Donald’s boldness
In the long run I favor Cruz, but Trump is doing things no one else will tackle.
Cruz
I would vote for Ted Cruz, because I believe that he is an honest man who loves America, her people, and her freedom.
When I listen to him speak, i hear an honest man speaking. I don’t agree with him on everything, and I think he is wrong about some things, but I believe that I can trust him, and I do trust him.
Trump is serving a purpose but Cruz it is.
Cruz
Cruz.
Cruz.
He believes in the Constitution.
I’ll support Trump if he’s he only way to stop ¡Yeb! from turning us into North Mexico.
Neither. We can talk about it till we’re blue in the face. Ultimately our menu choices will come down to piaps and Jebito. That’s who the uniparty wants, and they have decades of experience in crushing their opponents into dust.
So I have zero intention of going within 100 yards of a ballot in November 2016.
Book your vacations now to avoid the rush.
You sure this isn’t satire? Is there any other rational choice? Clearly Cruz. Yes, I have issues with his H1B visa ideas. Not a deal breaker. Not when so much more is at stake. Trump would, I firmly believe, falter when it counted. Just my opinion, but behind all the bluster there’s a person who’s main thing is themselves. Any actor can get out on a stage and make themselves into someone they are not. But they can’t keep it up all the time, and when the show is over, you get to see them for who they really are. I don’t trust Trump. My dad used to say, if you want to know what someone will do, look at what they’ve done. Seems a good rule of thumb in this situation.
Peace,
