Macy’s is owned by the same company - Target.
We have a Macy’s and several Targets in the area. I won’t shop at either, ever since Target did their gay Fathers Day ad a few years back. I get ridiculed for my stance and told that they never will miss me, I am just one person. But one thing I’ve learned is to never underestimate the power of one. Lots of ones add up.
No, I don't think so. Target is descended from Dayton - Hudson which then flipped the name around as Target became bigger than its parents.

Macy's was part of Federated, which apparently hasn't been doing all that well for a while, it too had a name flip.
