Conservative base doesn't get any respect even for people on our side. That's not at all what Klavan is saying....now whether you agree or not, Klavan is saying the assumption that Trump is really on our side based on what he's been saying for 25 minutes is unwise. Klavan has been on our side much much longer than Trump.

BS. The entire Obama existence was born of anger. You are damn right we are angry and anger leads to passion. Passion wins. Milquetoast garbage loses. The GOPe is milquetoast garbage.

I don’t know about Trump.
Although he’s really good at tossing us red meat in a bombastic manner, I have to wonder at his genuine motivations.
I got tuna fished by Ross Perot.

Anger makes us Pissed Off and often motivates to fix the offending anger catalyst. This can be a positive thing.

If he did, he would look a lot better. I think he wears a terrible comb-over hairstyle. But, heck, his comb-over is so well associated with him, to quote the old song "why try to change him now?".

Everyone is so anxious for an intervention, can’t stand someone not thinking the way they do, shocked at blunt statements. I may be proved wrong, but I see Trump as very genuine and I think that is what scares them and GOPe. I hope and trust that Trump is not playing us all. I think people should take him at his word on this instead of second guessing as a means to criticize or dismiss him.

Yoda is right. Our anger comes from fear. Fear of being bullied into silence. Fear of the IRS coming after us for our opinions. Fear of our businesses being destroyed by small-minded H8ers. Fear of a White House that finds myriad ways to harass and even imprison those who disagree with it. Fear of a media that lies and lies and lies, that covers up non-compliant reality in order to sell a left-wing narrative that will secure their sense of virtue and increase the political influence of their corporate bosses. When a man like Trump seems to spit in the eye of the people we fear, we rally behind him thinking were fighting back. Were not. Were following our fear right down the rabbit hole....
Can't say I disagree. I remain unconvinced that Trump isn't (from his POV) negotiating with conservatives for his next business takeover. I don't see him as demonstrating any ideological motivation beyond changing the fiscal climate to benefit his own companies.

Replace "Donald Trump" with "Jeb Bush" and the sentence is much more true.

Frankly, and this is from someone who is currently reading the Star Wars post Empire series of books, the star wars ideology is ridiculous. Anger doesn’t lead a person to evil. Christ was very angry when he turned the tables over in the temple.
Trump was right on illegal immigration, but I still think he is a joke of a candidate.
