Why I Support Donald Trump’s Campaign – And It’s Probably Not What You Think…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 13, 2015 | sundance

Posted on 07/14/2015 7:01:59 PM PDT by Art in Idaho

Begin with the end in mind – I’m not trying to convince anyone that Donald Trump is running a campaign to actually win the GOP nomination.

Factually, I’m as uncertain and perhaps more skeptical as the next person. However, given that Trump has actually done things he normally wouldn’t do if this was a mere publicity stunt (ie. stock divestitures, removal of conflicts etc.), for the sake of intellectual argument, I’m going to assume, cautiously yet optimistically, he’s in it to win it.

Argument #1 – After all, he’s been a democrat, an independent, a Republican, and well, I have consistently despised Charlie Crist.

Counter Argument – Then again, what about Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, and Orin Hatch, and Lindsey Graham, and John McCain, and John Cornyn, and Thad Cochran and, well, you get the point…. What’s the difference between supporting those consistently Republican “Republicans” only to have them advocate for liberal/progressive policies.

Are the aforementioned better because they didn’t change party registration, yet act like Democrats?

Let me first explain something few fully comprehend – and fewer still, are willing accept.

People like us rail against the “establishment” because, despite the GOP claims to the contrary, they never actually do anything to stop the liberal policy agenda. One only has to look at President Obama’s veto record (four in 6.5 years) to accept that only legislation Obama agrees with is reaching his desk.

We gave the GOP the House (2010, 2012, 2014) and the Senate (2014) and yet we never have received a single benefit to the election victories We The People provided.

Why is that?

This article is big.

Take some time and read it carefully. Sobering and food for thought.

Anyone who believes Donald Trump is "in it to win it" I think is seriously mistaken.

Having said that: Trump isn't my choice. Hard to take him seriously as a candidate. I do however appreciate the fact that he speaks truth to the issues that many Conservatives, and I'd argue blue-dog Democrats care deeply about, illegal immigration being one of them.

The whole illegal immigration issue strikes alot of chords with both Conservatives and blue-dog and heck, even some moderate Democrats who think their party has swung way too far to the left.

So I like the fact that Trump speaks plainly and bluntly on illegal immigration, our messed up economy, Obama's incompetence, etc.. and in doing so, is holding the Republican Party's feet to the fire.

At the end of the day, Trump speaks alot of truth. The Republican Establishment / GOP-E snobs may not like how he says it, but he speaks truth nonetheless.

Still, he's not a serious candidate and somewhere along the way one can't help but think he's going to embarrass himself and that'll be the end of his campaign.

I like Donald Trump because he is in a great position to really stick it to the GOPe and its multitude of clown car candidates.

“1 – Full implementation of ObamaCare without repeal.
2 – Comprehensive Immigration Reform to include Amnesty.
3 – Full implementation of Common Core educational standards.”

JebBer Bush is for all three and so is Hillary for all three.

Trump is against all three.

The question is: Is The Donald willing to be POTUS for four years without tiring of the hassles of the job?

All the candidates are bs artists who lecture us on what needs to be done and they accomplish nothing.

Trump has actually accomplished something. He has focused the light on illegal immigration and highlighted Kathryn Steinle’s death which would have never ever happened. None of the other candidates can boast such an important accomplishment.

I’m warming up to voting for Trump even though I don’t really trust him at all. He’s no Conservative, but if it comes down to Jeb or Trump, I rather Trump

Bears repeating from the article:

"Trump is the only visible method to defeat the GOP/CoC/Professional political class scheme."

" He, not him as a person, but rather Trump as a strategy – is the only strategic possibility that can upset the entire construct of years of careful Machiavellian planning."

" That’s why I support Donald Trump."

"I support him as a strategy to defeat the GOP and Democrat Party Machines."

So, we live in a post-Constitutional Republic ruled by soft tyranny. The uniparty, a tyrannical president and judicial activism rule. The next election is all scripted. Hillary or Jeb. They don't care which one.

Hard to argue with the author of the article. Well done sundance.

He’s the only candidate in my lifetime that has experience running an international multifaceted business conglomerate. Since basically that is what our government is If he’s can successfully run his multi businesses, write dozens of how to business books and still have time to become a celebrity on TV for entertainment; I can trust him

And, he’s not beholden to K Street. He IS Main Street.

I’m sick and tired of K Street buying off DC.

From the article:

In 2013 CoC President Tom Donohue went on record saying his 2014/2015 legislative priorities were:

1 – Full implementation of ObamaCare without repeal.
2 – Comprehensive Immigration Reform to include Amnesty.
3 – Full implementation of Common Core educational standards.

Wall Street, through K-Street, through the CoC, fund these legislative priorities.

And the US CoC basically owns Romney, Bush and the GOP establishment lock, stock and barrel.

“Still, he’s not a serious candidate and somewhere along the way one can’t help but think he’s going to embarrass himself and that’ll be the end of his campaign.”

Have you ever stopped to think about the self-discipline required to amass billions of dollars in a field as competitive as real estate? There aren’t too many billionaires for a reason; it is not easy. It takes a serious person to accomplish that. He obviously takes what he does seriously. He is leading in the national polls, and you say he is not a serious candidate?

So what is Donald going to do rather than draw attention to the problem ans run static for the guys that get through?

I like that he is jumping on the grenade.

But does he have a snowballs chance?

Keep running static Donald.

Well, the only candidate that “has experience running an international multifaceted business conglomerate”, that is, except for Carly Fiorina.
