Billionaire presidential hopeful says it’s a protest against immigration.

When you’re Donald Trump, another rescinded corporate partnership is nothing if not an opportunity to galvanize your supposedly growing base of political supporters.

The billionaire real estate mogul, reality-television personality, and Republican presidential hopeful has spent the past week taking Twitter pot-shots at Macy’s after the department store chain severed ties with Trump and his line of menswear amid the uproar over Trump’s recent derogatory comments about Mexican immigrants.

On Monday, Trump — who, last week, gleefully pointed out on Twitter when Macy’s stock had fallen by less than 0.5% — tweeted out a claim that his supporters have been cutting up their Macy’s credit cards “as a protest” against the U.S. government’s stance on immigration....

If we do not stop the flow of illegals into this country the country will cease to exist as we know it. Tyrants have long used the tactic of changing the demographics of an area (nation) to achieve a political goal. ANYONE willing to defend America against the invasion of illegal immigrates (and even legal immigrants that do not want to assimilate) has my support, ANYONE. One more time, ANYONE that is willing to stand up and defend America has my support. There is only one issue for me this election and immigration is the issue.

That is incredibly narrow-minded. But hey, if that does it for you, ok.

"What’s your point again? Define the LAW that explains what a Natural Born Citizen is and how it is a requirement to be POTUS."

Without a basic understanding of Natural Law, one can not even begin to understand our Constitution.

Note the reference to Natural Law in the first sentence of our Declaration of Independence.

It is crystal clear that the Founding Fathers used the Natural Law definition of 'natural born Citizen' when they wrote Article II. By invoking "The Laws of Nature and Nature's God" the 56 signers of the Declaration incorporated a legal standard of freedom into the forms of government that would follow.

President John Quincy Adams, writing in 1839, looked back at the founding period and recognized the true meaning of the Declaration's reliance on the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." He observed that the American people's "charter was the Declaration of Independence. Their rights, the natural rights of mankind. Their government, such as should be instituted by the people, under the solemn mutual pledges of perpetual union, founded on the self-evident truth's proclaimed in the Declaration."

The Constitution, Vattel, and “Natural Born Citizen”: What Our Framers Knew

The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term “natural born citizen” to any other category than “those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof

As I’ve said previously, I am not a supporter of trump as prez and I would guess most here feel the same. But...I will take someone bringing a very important issue to the forefront all day long.

There’s a scripture in the Bible where people come and complain to Paul (I believe it’s Paul) that people are speaking the name of Jesus that aren’t really followers. They wanted Paul to stop them. Paul said all should speak the name of Jesus!! He was glad about it.

I liken this to the same thing we’re enduring; we’ll take it any way we can get it. Doesn’t mean we are voting for him. Recognize the diff.

proof? Well, if only 1,000 people in the country, siding with Trump, cut up their Macy credit cards, and if these people would have spent $1,000 over whatever period of time....Macys would lose $1,000,000 and stand to gain nothing.

Trump, on the other hand, has picked up backers who like his "tell it as it is" views. He will lose a few dollars from some sources, but that will soon be replaced by new sources..probably immediately.

Trump is worth about $9,000,000,000.00 and shuffles around millions of dollars per day...He'll do just fine...Macys, on the other hand , is a dying breed and can ill afford to lose anything.

Macy’s has been on the way out with JC Penneys and Sears for years. Its just matter of time before they slide under the waves anyway.

I haven’t followed this, so maybe he did suggest that they send those cut up cards back to Macy’s. It would be more of a instant and visible response rather than a gradual reduction in sales.

Sorry, I’m still waiting for the LAW, Chapter and verse.

Actually, never mind. I have no interest in getting into another FR Pissing Contest over semantics.

We’ll just agree to disagree and leave it at that my FRiend.

I do appreciate your Reply to my earlier Post.
Your point is well taken. Thank You.

Macy was ordering stuff online including dresses and etc. and sometimes we’d go to SLC and stop at Macy’s there.

We almost never shop in Denver. I recall we’ve stopped in Ft. Collins a few times but never in Denver.

Thank you for the response. Nothing like a little clarity in a land of confusion.

He’s been here longer than you.

Actually, he's been a member about the same amount of time.

I wasn't questioning how LONG he had been a member, but how ACTIVE he had been, and why.

He (or she as the case may be) responded and gave a reasonable answer.
