Excellent article. The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.

I once socialized with Trotskyites (I was in college, I was stupid). The Trotskyite strategy was to continue to make demands on the system. When one was met, another was made, until the system broke from meeting the demands.

The Trots were not very influential in the American left in the 1960’s, but that strategy is being employed by the left now. They will not stop until they have undermined all the traditions underpinning our society, collapsing social order and taking over themselves.

This is the “religion” that we as Christians are having to defend ourselves and our faith against. One that believes only in it having power over everything and everybody. Satan inspired? Sure sounds like it to me.

A Socialist a century ago considered factories progressive instruments of the future and men in dresses a decadent reactionary behavior. Now factories are reactionary pollution machines of globalization and men in dresses are an oppressed victim group who have transcended biology with the power of their minds.

...and they call us anti-science...

These changes are a test of reason. If you can reason, you fail. If you can Doublethink, you pass.

It's like a reverse IQ test. They are screening for gullible people.
Sheeple are unable or unwilling to think for themselves, so they use the logic of the herd:
If most people are going that direction, that must be the best direction, and if not at least you will have plenty of company.

They always push far beyond the limits of madness. They are unable to stop. They never have, and they never will. Not even with millions dead and enslaved.

"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from all the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just round the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now do you begin to understand me?"

Excellent article, even by Greenfield’s exalted standards.

What I can’t wait for is the over-reach. Having a black church sued by a homosexual couple for failing to marry them will be “crossing the streams” for them, resulting in the loss of a lot of voters. Attacking the Catholic Church in similar fashion will tick off many Hispanics. The Left is not above human failings (in fact, they are a textbook example of most of them), and they WILL get over confident and the WILL tick off a lot of people.

These people aren’t 10 feet tall any more than the Russians were...and, by the way, there the Leftists had an empire and thousands of nukes and they lost. They can be defeated, one pissed-off victim at a time. We conservatives can enhance our pull on people the most right after someone gets trampled by the Left, and shouldn’t lose the opportunity to do so. Maybe we can even get their family to reconsider their former Leftist bias.
