9 Truths All People Need to Accept About Racism So We Can Finally Have an Honest Conversation
The Atlanta Black Star ^ | May 28, 2015 | Melanie McCoy

Racism is a difficult discussion to have, especially when people do not have an understanding of what racism is, how it works and who it is perpetuated by. Here are nine truths that we need to accept about racism if we want to have honest conversations.

Can Black People Be Racist?

“There is an element of whites who are nothing but cold, animalistic racists. That element is the one that controls or has strong influence in the power structure. It uses the press skillfully to feed statistics to the public to make it appear that the rate of crime in the Black community, or community of nonwhite people, is at such a high level. It gives the impression or the image that everyone in that community is criminal.”

– Malcolm X, speech at the London School of Economics on Feb. 11, 1965

Black people cannot be racist. We could possibly be prejudice, but the power dynamics of the system of white supremacy proves that Black people do not have the ability to oppress other races. Malcolm teaches that racism uses a system to oppress and hold power over a person based on their race....

1. I can believe a black girl is good at trig.
2. Less believable that she was a “looker.”
3. My wife is an Indian, born in Delhi, so I know the stereotype is ABSOLUTELY true to a VERY large extent.

I think I speak for most of the people around here when I declare that we are being oppressed by the Negro, whose collective power is concentrated and vested in the person of Barack Hussein Obama II.

The oppression affects us not only as conservatives of all colours, races, and creeds, but the major part of this oppression is heaped upon the white, Christian, heterosexual male.

Meanwhile, Negroes on government assistance, &c., have had a total field day since 2009. Their undying devotion to Obama has not waned in the least. To them, Obama truly is their Lord and Saviour, and nothing will dislodge them of this belief.

Ignore this reality at your own peril.

Well, she was cute. Then again, I was a teen-ager with raging hormones.

The thing that turned me off to her was the Obama-worship.

Malcolm teaches that racism uses a system to oppress and hold power over a person based on their race....

In which case, are not Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, et al, indeed, Barack Obama himself, racists?

Dear leftist turds: It’s not a “conversation” when one side dictates the terms of the other side’s participation. My middle finger will present my response.

That’s racist!

Yeah, they used big words, lots of 'em and half of them couldn't read it anyway ...

9) Don’t give me that canard that it is not possible for black people to be racist. It is and they are. Compare any available crime statistics foe black on white versus white on black crime. The former is almost as common as black on black crime. The later is close to non-existent. And if you think those statistics are colored, look up any country in Black Africa. Ever heard of Rwanda?

Malcolm X said that in London on Feb. 11, 1965?

Exactly 10 days later he was murdered. He wasn't killed by any white people.

I guess adding barf alerts isn’t in your repertoire? Lol Quoting Malcolm x in the second paragraph means one thing; liberal slant.

“...system of white supremacy proves that Black people do not have the ability to oppress other races...”

What a load of codswollop. The very fact that many whites and white institutions embrace this bigoted line of thinking shows that these blacks do indeed have the power to oppress other races, kotowing them into accepting and even promoting this racist thinking.

An “honest” conversation that requires accepting a “heads I win, tails you lose” definition of terms....

Right.

What I find most contemptible is the assurance such idiots actually believe in the validity of their own rhetorical swindle.

When these people hold the power to destroy the lives and careers of other races over claims of “racism” then yes, Melanie, blacks are not without power and can be racist. A claim of racism (for now)is one of the most powerful weapons that can be brought to bear against a person.

This is only about the thousandth article I've read by various white and black scribblers for around fifty years trying to explain why every white person is a vicious racist and all black problems are explained by white racism.

I think probably most white people over the age of forty are quite sick and tired of these types of articles and the people who write them. Just don't care about bullsh.t explanations for black dysfunction anymore.

I'm now much more agreeable to radical solutions to the problem...which would not please people like the writer of the execrable piece.

College taught many of us a healthy skepticism of "intellectuals." If anything, the passage of time has reinforced and increased that judgment, now approaching "cynicism."

IOW, add "what you learned in African/ethnic/gender/etc studies" to the list of things "I truly do not care about."

I've put up with this kind of crap since youth...back then, I could draw up some sympathy for those poor blacks...

but then your eyes see things and your ears hear things...you basically start smelling the coffee and then you know the truth....YOU KNOW THE TRUTH...

which is that many of the stereotypes are true afterall...they're true....
