After publishing our guide to Americas most popular beers, many people asked us to take a look at the rest of the world. Our curiosity piqued, we set out to find every country in the worlds most popular beer. The map below brings together dozens of sources, from research reports to corporate filings, to reveal the most popular beers in over 100 countries. As you can see, the beer brands of the world are as diverse as our planet itself though a handful of massive multinational brewers own a staggering number of these brands, which well be exploring in the future.

A Bud drinker practically forever, I have tried many of the so-called best beers in the world, but find many of them too bitter for my taste. On Irish Session night at our pub I do imbibe the Smithwick’s, though. Nice flavor and a couple of Imperial pints are a good recovery drink after a couple of hours of rec b’ball. Fluid, carbohydrate and pain killer, all in one!

Carling Black Label is the most popular in Britain and South Africa? It goes for twelve bucks a case at my local distributor.

I was raised on Labatt’s blue in Canada and that’s what i’ve been drinking for the last 25 years i’ve lived in the states, the best Draft beer in Canada in my opinion is OV.

Bud seems to have taken Canada by storm ever since American breweries stared buying-up the Canadian ones. Never thought I would see so much Bud advertising at NHL and CFL games.
I like Labatt myself. Most Canadian brews are superior to Bud IMHO.

Why-why, what’s the point of going abroad, if your just going to be treated like a sheep?

Budweiser, sampled right from the brewery, is outstanding.
It loses a LOT after it’s bottled and sits on a shelf for a couple of months.

"333" in Việt Nam is the direct descendant of "33" of wartime fame but they have cleaned up their act, so to speak, no more formaldehyde or battery acid and the beer is the same from bottle to bottle. It is a standard Bud type of beer with good consistency and nothing special. SaiGon Beer is a little better. The home brew that is available in a few places can be very good. Me, I'm partial to the rice wine that is mostly home made. Lots of people make it and some further distill it to whiskey strength. I won't even try to transliterate what it is called into English. I can't reproduce the sound of it in print so that it would be repeatable from reading it.

I almost never drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Abita seasonal flavors, especially Strawberry.
Bud light exists not.
