Ever since Chuck Norris wrote his WND editorial about how the federal government was organizing a martial law takeover, it seems that every Texas conservative is pushing that idea, reported Talking Points Memo.
Now, it seems that every notable, political Texan is driving the idea that the military training exercise called “Jade Helm 15” is actually a planned takeover of the state. What’s more fascinating is that every single one of these politicians and talking heads are Texans.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R) was among the first Texas figureheads to bring Jade Helm 15 to national attention when he ordered the State Guard to surveill the training exercise. Abbott feeds into the paranoid Texas mindset. He the order will ensure that “Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights, and civil liberties will not be infringed.”
Talking Points Memo noted that a former lawmaker said Abbott was “pandering to idiots.”
Former Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) praised Abbott for acting on his paranoia.
“I think this is very good that the governor has done this,” said Paul. “I’m not at the point where I think this is the first step and six months from now you’re going to have martial law all around the country and I sure hope I’m right on that.”
Certainly Paul isn’t as crazy as your average Texas Republican, but he’s still shares some of the same criteria.
It’s shouldn’t be a surprise that presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is playing into the ludicrous conspiracy theory that the government is about to take over everything. Cruz contacted the Pentagon, which said there is no secret operation. However, Cruz still remains convinced that there’s some secret operation is happening.
“I think part of the reason is, we have seen for six years a federal government disrespecting the liberty of the citizens and that produces fear,” said Cruz. “When you see a federal government that is attacking our free speech rights, our religious liberty rights, our Second Amendment rights. That produces distrust as to government.”
Cruz killed two birds with one stone by alluding to the fact that all of this is President Obama’s fault while bringing gun rights and religious liberties into the mix.
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who is from Dallas, Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX), and former Gov. Rick Perry have all also jumped in and stirred the conspiracy pot.
This is the ultimate example of Republican fear-mongering. Their narrative says there are enemies abroad, and now they are saying there are enemies at home, too. In their minds, no one is safe. Everyone, including the government, is out to get you.

The bottom line (I believe anyway) is that they’re trying to paint Cruz as a looney because they always mention his name in conjunction with this issue. Pure political BS once again...

Literally EVERY PERSON who misuses the term ‘literally’, literally makes me die and literally causes my head to literally explode.
Not in modern times that I’m aware of. There were very large field exercises pre and post World War II, when it was much cheaper to move and feed troops, but this is something different.

Let me get this straight. Is this the same Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who was convicted of numerous drug charges including possession of heroin? The same Robert F. Kennedy Jr. whose ‘drunkle’ killed Miss Mary Jo Kopechne? The same Robert F. Kennedy Jr. whose other uncle cheated on his wife constantly, with any female willing to give him a sniff and who was killed, possibly by the mob, for not favoring the mob after they delivered several states? The same Robert F. Kennedy Jr. whose grandfather, a noted anti-semite and admirer of Adolph Hitler and associate of mobsters, made his fortune as a manipulator of stocks and importer of illegal alcohol?
Given his personal history and family pedigree, his advice/comments should be heeded why? Thanks ,Bobby Jr., for the ‘counsel’, but I believe that right thinking Americans can figure things out without your ‘assistance’, thank you very much!

Urgent! – Jade Helm 15 Alert! With New Info I received some information recently from an old friend who does not want to be named but he gave me the go ahead to share the info i am going to. Take this however you want as truth or hearsay or just pretend my uncle told me but here it is. Some time before jade helm 15 ends isis will apparently Strike targets in the united states mainland. The attacks that will be made by isis will cause panic and the jade helm forces stationed around the us will be given the order to switch a focus from drills to a new mission of tracking and finding 72 isis soldiers hidden in and around the states jade helm is supposed to be acting in. This is apparently why the us border was relaxed and illegals had been allowed to flood in. This will be the guise under which martial law will be declared and people will be pulled out into the streets, homes will be searched and guns confiscated all in the name of finding these 72 soldiers of isis. People may resist but events are planned to cause more panic and make the public beg for it. Im not sure of the scale of this supposed event but this is all i have but take it for what it is. I trust the source and it sounds plausible with all that is going on. But this may end up being nothing at all. You should also note: Apparently Joe Biden is involved in this somehow. I received a piece of information from someone on here that mentioned him recently that would also back up this claim but i cant release that info unless i get the go ahead and my source for this thread also mentioned him currently being involved in planning and making sure this is carried out correctly.

I’ve been here since the wheel was invented. Don’t assume you know people that you don’t know. I’ve been to Friva Las Vegas at Treasure Island in Vegas. It was a big deal.
