She referred to JFK as “that fine young man” and said of LBJ, “That man got the devil in him”.

Ms. Oates was very wise. And very fortunate that the devil-inspired LBJ did not get to influence her family as he did for millions of other black American families.
Obama is rapidly overtaking Johnson as our worst president ever. But for now LBJ and his planned genocide on millions of black Americans still ranks as our worst.
I think that not only have the progressive/liberals robbed the black race of family, jobs, personal responsibility and a sense of self worth, they have ultimately robbed them of a country to call home.
More and more of them disrespect our flag, our national holidays and our history. But they have no other.
Less and less people know what used to be
More and more are forgetting, or have forgotten.
There must be pride in being responsible for oneself. This must be taught in the “family”, and in the schools. There must be shame in NOT being responsible for oneself.
The current climate of entitlement mentality and catering to all of those who are not paying their own way, just perpetuates the concept of successive generations believing that the government provides for everything.

Values matter. Thanks for the post.
It’s not just the black family — look at many of our white families that have been devastated by out of wedlock chilcbirth and serial divorce. Now, there are those in the government that want to expunge the meaning of “marriage” altogether. And the elites want to forbid religion in the public square and the military.
We are all at risk. The black families just got hit first.
Great personal story. Thanks for posting.
Republicans fault.
It’s the leftist soft bigotry of low expectations. Social welfare is killing all Americans.
Bkmk
That could be said of the entire country. I remember when growing up how neighborhoods were that...”neighbors”. All the people on our street knew each other and the kids paid attention to all grownups.
Today you can’t look cross eyed at someones kid without the parent thinking your up to no good with their child, and or need to mind your own business.....
We are a fractured and broken society.....
I’ve been thinking about this recently. The federal government’s war on men/fathers/families has probably hurt black people the most.
People need families and opportunity, not a permanent government sugar daddy.
In high school I would walk home thru a large, poor black neighborhood. No one ever bothered me.
Because no one back then had AC and the houses were close to the sidewalk, I could look in to living rooms. Almost everyone had a picture of Jesus and MLK (or James Brown)....HA ...I Feel Good !
LBJ may be the worst president our country has ever had. Without him, Obama might never have been elected.
Thank you for posting, btw.
