At the White House correspondents' star-studded extravaganza this past weekend, Hollywood comedian Cecily Strong piously browbeat reporters for focusing on Hillary Clinton's looks, pushing the premise that they were a bunch of sexists. It was off-key, for plenty of reasons.
Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post has an interesting rebuttal about why a candidate's looks sometimes matter. He left out one thing, however, something perhaps a female writer such this one might notice: Quite often, Hillary looks noticeably disheveled while on official business, and during her tenure as secretary of state looked downright dirty and unkempt.

I doubt a major facelift would do Shrillary any good.
Yet, the MSM will still whine....
Appearance matters because her diminishment from what she was to what is now is a confirmation of the tolls of evil.
Her soul is rotting from within and it is reaching the husk.
rotting from the inside out!
AMEN and well put!
Too true...

Sometimes she looks like she hasn’t showered or slept. Then she doesn’t care about what she wears.
She’s better now than the “million pants suits from years ago ... one pattern, a million colors. Dowdy!
From time to time, people post pictures here in which her hair was all messed up, or pulled back in an ugly ponytail, wearing ugly dresses, etc.
Perhaps since she was overseas, she never thought anyone in America would see her that way????

She doesn’t have much stamina. She waddles when she walks, too.

Yeah they were oh so concerned when Palin (and her family) was attacked about their appearance. And these people were nice looking.
I agree the issue should not be about how H Clinton looks (look at Angela Merkel an ordinary looking middle aged woman). Any criticism should be about policies and character, not looks.
But these people are so hypocritical (re: Palin and any other conservative woman) they need to be called on it day and night
H! only gives dark looks.....
At this point I think we’d be better off with Harriett Jones, Minister for Agriculture.
