Just experienced a 4.1 shaker located on the east shore of Lake Pend Oreille here in north Idaho at 7:32 PM PST. We were shaken, but not stirred. Noticed one brief almost imperceptable aftershock.

More CO2 is released annually by China’s coal seam fires than by all of the light duty vehicles in the US.

Another interesting tidbit...more workers have died falling from wind power towers than nuclear accidents in all those countries I listed in post above.

Lord I hope not. That craton is a little too far from here, maybe.

China has been building ONE NEW coal fired power plan every 8 days for many years.

That is great info. Ill take Nuke power right now for my air conditioning and big screen tvs but we wont have nuke cars on our great big 6 lane highways— That is for endless fossil or electric. I have both— I love both.

Not likely. Lake Pend Orielle is not anywhere near Yellowstone.

China has many coal seam fires, many started as part of coal mining.

lol
Athol is SW of Lake Pend Oreille. My place was north of there, which put me on the west side of the lake.
Sounds like this mild shaker was east of the lake.
Pend Oreille is an amazing body of water. It’s very deep. If my memory is correct, it’s the deepest fresh water lake in North America. They have a submarine testing base on it actually, it’s so deep.
I’m sure the geology in those parts is pretty complex.

You ought to see this one ... almost 20% of the world’s earthquakes of Magnitude 2.5 and up ... come from this region in Oklahoma (the link that is posted there).
See the chart posted where earthquakes in Oklahoma have SKYROCKETED since 2009.
