How long are those wires? How much charge is in a tazer device? Are you saying Scott could have zapped Slager as he ran away? What is the distance between the two men when Slager started shooting? Could Slager really have felt physically threatened at that point?
If Slager really was zapped by his own device, and maybe in the throes of extreme pain, then perhaps the charge is no longer first degree murder, but second. But it still appears to be murder.
Nonsense, it was NEVER going to be 1st degree, and 2nd degree was full of holes; voluntary manslaughter looked likely but now all bets are off.
Being zapped by a tazer might well effect the cops judgement-—It could effect his training and ability to make the right call. IF ITS TRUE!
Depending on the cartridge the wires can be from 25-35 feet for most duty use. As long as the cartridge is attached to the device, subsequent pulls of the trigger will send a charge to the darts. Additionally there are blunt probes at the end of the cartridge so that you can push the weapon into the intended target and deliver a “drive stun.” Not as effective, but still quite painful. <

The shooting stance I saw for the eight shots wasn’t from a man in any way debilitated by a fresh taser sting.
