Columnist and author of Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican, Ann Coulter said that Ted Cruz and Scott Walker are the only palatable presidential candidates and that the candidacies of Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are a waste of time on Mondays Hannity on the Fox News Channel.
Coulter re-iterated her point that Republicans shouldnt let liberal moderators host their debates, she then stated most importantly, please Republican primary voters, do not even consider someone who has not been a governor. Maybe a senator, but at least a governor. That is just wasting everybodys time, energy and money from and Ive done it myself. I supported Pat Buchanan, Steve Forbes, probably some other ones, but, no, just dont even consider them, its a waste of time. I love Ben Carson, he cant be our candidate. Carly Fiorina, no, just get them off the list. We have to get serious about this, we have to back a candidate whos going to win. Of all the ones that you mentioned [Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, and Carly Fiorina] I think the only ones I would consider at all palatable are Ted Cruz or Scott Walker.(continued)

This is a good sign, that we are all pretty much in agreement here in FR this early. A lot different than 2012 when there was a lot of bickering between us. I hope it stays this way.
See my tag line...
While I tend to prefer Cruz as President in 2016, there is much to be said about him being VP. If he were to serve first at VP, then it is possible for him to be in the executive branch for 16 years. If he were to start as President, he would be limited to just 8.
As someone pointed out on another thread, as VP, he would oversee the Senate. I am certain that he would knock heads and get the idiots in the Senate to fall in line (and grow a spine).
Walker has executive experience as Governor, which I think is important for being President. Look at the screw ups of Obama. Walker has also shown that he is anti Union. I think it is important that the unions be destroyed - especially public unions - because they have done much damage to our society.
With all that said... If Cruz comes out on top, I will be just as happy.
But, I want BOTH on the ticket.
She’s really taking Romney’s decision not to run hard, isn’t she?
Gonna be great to have Coulter’s firepower backing up Cruz.
Coulter finding Cruz palatable is important and encouraging news. It’s an indicator that he’ll be able to appeal to people beyond the pure tea party types.
I hope it is this way through out the entire country, not just at conservative websites.
Lefties have a herd mentality and if the lead cow turns and goes off a cliff, most of the lemmings will follow. {Is that a mixed metaphor?}
You’re right, but unity has to start somewhere. If we can’t have unity here, then it’s hopeless. I’m looking forward to either a spoken or unspoken deal between Cruz and Walker that says “friendly competition between us and the loser supports the winner 100%”.
new poll
62 percent told the pollster that the U.S. is not aggressive enough in deporting those illegally in the United States
BOOM!
Ted Cruz will be our next president!
Yep!
Only 2 worth considering.
I’m all in for Cruz!
Yep - at least she’s off her Christie jag...
“Yep, she got this one right. Both are good, Cruz is definitely the best. Walker still needs to leave the Big Money people and talk to a few FReepers about Amnesty to find out why Cruz is about to leap-frog him in the Primaries.”

Ditto that
At least Coulter is not against Cruz. I hope it doesn’t bother her too much that he ahs a higher I.Q.
So, her love affair with Krispy Kreme and Willard is over?
I am currently reading an article about her in which she claims that Romney said all the same things about immigration that Walker is saying. Does anyone know if that is true; that Romney did say and believe this?
