Wake up, America, people cry. Have hope, faith, and heart that the republic can survive, others proclaim. Honestly, I dont know why everyone cant face the reality that its dead already; the dream, the great experiment of America, has failed. While the idea of an American republic has been kept alive to assuage the masses, the reality is it was taken from us years ago while we slept.
Face it; liberty is gone. Freedom exists now only in the ideology of the Constitution, not in the practice of democracy and a U.S. government that rules us with tens of thousands of laws that yoke us to an indentured servitude of paying for its spending spree. Those in government have completely usurped the power of the people, all under the guise of protecting the people from, well, themselves. Thats because, left to their own devices, the people would choose to do things that are bad for their bodies or maybe even good for their bodies, but bad for corporate profit bottom lines lobbyist corporations, the bedfellows of government. The people, however, should have the absolute freedom to do, say, eat, be or think whatever they want; but they dont, because Big Bro says, no. And thats that. No more republic.
So where is the outrage? Where are the people fighting the overthrow of their God-given liberties? Where are the true patriots? Nowhere. Theyre still talking about preparing for action while not even realizing the game is already over; the past inaction all these years has assured the kings victory.
But, what if it werent over? What would be the threshold that government would have to cross to make the people rise to take back their Creator-given rights?
During a Support Rural America Sheriffs Event a while back, six sheriffs told their stories and imparted upon the constitutionally patriotic attendees that they would stand for the peoples constitutional rights. As I was listening, I found myself inspired to hope for the future by their stories. Then an analogy sprang to mind
What if the people were like Israel, fighting against others who didnt believe they should even exist the people just wanting to be free and left alone, to have a country that is theirs.
The U.S. government is like Iran. It has grown ever powerful and believes it is because of it that the world is different today. It believes that the people shouldnt freely have a country to call their own, and it is doing everything it can to make sure they dont. In fact, it is building the potential to nuke the peoples constitutional rights once and for all and has plans to sell off their lands. The people, as intended, would cease to exist.
The Oath Keepers and the Constitutional Sheriffs, those who are in positions of power that truly believe in the constitutional republic, are likened to the international community that has protected the people all these years. They believe that you have to work within the confines of the government itself (play by Irans rules) in order to make a difference. They believe the courts arent corrupted beyond belief; they believe government still believes it is accountable. But they are wrong. And because of these beliefs they refuse to draw that line and truly support the people.
Right now, you could say I am like Benjamin Netanyahu. I am asking: Where is the red line in the sand? What line does the government cross before we act? Dare I say before we revolt? The question is, of course, moot, as the republic is gone already and the question was answered before it was asked: There is no line. We are ruled now by an elite few who can simply create law through executive order and administrative processes. We the people are slaves to our own insecurity while clinging to old ideologies long gone.
God bless America. You were loved.
The situation is bad, obviously, and well-advanced.
But that doesn’t mean the republic is dead.
The republic is only dead if we surrender, like the writer of this piece, or if we are dead.
the dream, the great experiment of America, has failed
I don’t believe it failed. I believe it was destroyed. But it can be reborn. Sadly I fear that it will involve a lot of bloodshed. Hopefully I am wrong about the bloodshed part.
Our country is being destroyed by Marxists and you are concerned about the military industrial complex. Who is really part of the problem?
On the rear window of my car is a decal of the U.S. & Israeli flags and the words “Genesis 12, 3”.
Three-fourths of what we Christians call the Holy Bible consists of the Old Testament.
Despite the evil that infests the White House, let millions of Americans bless Israel & pray for her survival. We will surely be blessed as the Lord promised Abraham.
The storm has come, but hasn’t built to its full fury yet. Obama is our judgment from God and ISIS is going to have its way because of him. I think it is too late for repentance now, which should have come after 9/11. We still had opportunity after that, but people did not want to take the time to stop and reflect, repent and change their lives. They just wanted to somehow get back to how it was before 9/11. Apathy and unbelief brought us to this point. We can personally repent, but a national repentance will never come. Abortion was our undoing, and now, with homosexual rights taking the forefront, it shows that God has given us over for judgment. Scripture explains this, for those who are willing to read about it, but most people have become deluded into thinking that America replaces Israel and we are somehow safe from judgment. We’re going to find out the truth very soon. Obama has invited our enemies in and we’ll reap the harvest of our arrogance and sin.
True that.
Anagram for Jade Helm is Hadj El Me
Hajji (sometimes spelled Hadji, Haji or El-Hajj) is an honorific title given to a Muslim person who has successfully completed the Hajj to Mecca, as well as a derogatory term used by American military personnel towards Arabs, Muslims and Middle Easterners in general.
Just sayin..
Dunno.
The most common mistake of bad guys (and tyrants) is overreaching. They spend to much effort and too many resources suppress those who oppose them.
A smart tyrant would just keep track of them and anyone who listened to their message. It is only necessary to suppress someone if it looks like they might accomplish something.
Apathy, not fear, is a Tyrant’s best friend.
Being in the eye of the storm does not mean the storm is over. Just because troops are not garrisoned in our homes (yet?) does not mean the other original 10 are safe and secure.
He’s more right than wrong, by far. I can’t, for the life of me, find where govt has NOT intruded (IE: Net Neutrality may make your point moot), where their PERMISSION is not required or our property not presumed to be theirs.
Our Republic has been laid waste for over a century now. Some would argue is died in the War Between the States (as the ‘Civil War’ is technically incorrect).
"The Republic" is an idea and an idea is dead when no one believes in it any more, remembers what it was or knows/cares what it is supposed to be.
The progressives have been in charge of both parties and most of GuvCo since Bush the elder took over in 1989.
How many generations have been born since and all they know about our Republic is whatever it has become?
How many generations remain who do remember what we used to be and who also had the benefit of a slightly better public education that included American history and civics?
Those who want to fundamentally transform US simply have to outlive us. Once we're gone, that's it. We take it with us.
The melting pot is broken and the schools have become indoctrination centers. No one is filling the well with new to take our place.
Well, some millions of us are teaching our own children.
????
Are you sure you meant to reply to me, friend?
That Mike and the Mechanics song Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground) was ahead of its time:
Swear allegiance to the flag
Whatever flag they offer
Never hint at what you really feel
Teach the children quietly
For someday sons and daughters
Will rise up and fight while we stood still
“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
— Winston Churchill, 1948
Agreed...your words ring of truth.
I just clicked on anyone just to reply. Wasn’t directed at you :)
Our freedom is under attack, of that there is no doubt, but it has been under attack since our founding.
It also can be argued that we have less freedom today than we did even 5 years ago, and certainly far less freedom than 200 years ago.
But our freedoms aren’t gone, to claim so is just nuts.
Worse, the author is essentially throwing in the towel, no more point in fighting. Those are troll words, not words of a patriot.
We have a moral obligation to continue fighting, not only for those who gave their lives, but for our children, grandchildren, and yes, for all of those who follow after that.
The author needs to seek treatment for unwarranted depression.
See tagline.
I believe that due to the severe damage that’s been done to the Constitution and to all tentacles of the central socialist government, including the judiciary, that a period of rule by a benevolent despot is required.
This now pitiful nation must be rebuilt with all the useless agencies and judiciary levels eliminated.
It’s definite, however, America is in for an agonizing famine.
The problem is the damage that will be done to America by its voluminous enemies.
All the traitors and their running dogs must be dealt with harshly.
You’re absolutely right!
We are not citizens, we’re faceless entities without soul or body: we’re consumers.
