You’re absolutely right!
We are not citizens, we’re faceless entities without soul or body: we’re consumers.
And more and more we are consumers willing and demanding to have others pay for what we consume.
We have largely forgotten the pride of self-sufficiency, the pride of earning our own bread and the pride of ownership of our own destiny.
We have become slaves and haven’t yet realized that fact.
