What do you mean “how can Obama’s mother be a citizen when she was only 18 and Hawaii had just become a state”. Your post makes no sense. First off, a 5 year old is as much a citizen as an 18 year old as an 80 year old.

Second off, Obama’s mother was born in Kansas. Her living in Hawaii had zero to do with her citizenship.

I find it pretty funny that all those howling that Obama was born in Kenya aren’t going to say a word about Cruz being born in Canada.

My post making no sense, really Obama’s mother being born in Kansas and his being born in Hawaii. Really what if Obama was born when his mother was really 14 after she had been raped by Frank Marshall Davis, Hawaii was not a state. If she was 18 and Hawaii had just become a state. His father was not an American Citizen if it is to be considered to be Obama Sr. Patriarchy (father’s citizenship)determines citizenship of a child. In terms Obama should not be president. Neither should Cruz, but it does not matter what I think. It is the US Constitution - natural born citizen - both parents being of age 21 and adult citizens for a minimum of 2 years. The constitution trumps naturalization. Look at Samuel Pufendorf’s Two Books of the Elements of Universal Jurisprudence, whereby the concept of natural birth were discussed as well the discussion that the founding fathers deemed in the development of the US Constitution. Also look at Law of the Nations as the development of the uS Constitution. When I served this country in the military, I took an oath to the US Consitution not a president. Something is wrong in this country when back to back questions regarding citizenship status of two candidates for president, one serving and one wanting to serve.

I have stated get ready for those to scream about Cruz’s mother being from Delaware and his father from Cuba, but having immigrated through Texas, due to the oil industry. Was Cruz’s father naturalized in Texas?

like I sad get ready for people to question Cruz’s allegiances o, even though he renounced his Canadian citizenship just one year ago.

I am a conservative.
