Here we go now the liberals will scream he is not eligible to be the President, as his father was foreign born, but his mother was a US citizen. So the liberals will claim the same for Obama, mother citizen of the US (but how can she be a citizen when she was only 18, and Hawaii had just become a state). So the University of Chicago people will scream about the naturalized citizen can be a president too. (There is a paper out on the internet about the US foregoing natural born citizenship) The Constitution states natural born citizen. Washington, Madison, Jefferson and Adams were born in a British colony that later became the US. So is Cruz over 225 years old.
ALL I AM IS SAYING IS WAIT FOR THE CONSTITUTION TO BE BROUGHT UP BY THE LIBERALS. Prepare yourselves for an argument
“Washington, Madison, Jefferson and Adams were born in a British colony that later became the US.”
The Founders declared their independence from foreign state obligations on July 4, 1776 with the Declaration of Independence. The Founders believed they had a God-given right to terminate their obligation to pay taxes to a foreign state without representation in the foreign state’s government. Since their obligations to the foreign state were terminated by a declaration as a God-given right, then citizens at the time of the adoption of the US Constitution were eligible to become President. Thereafter, only a natural born citizen is eligible to hold the Office of the President of the United States, i.e. a person free of foreign state obligations.
What do you mean “how can Obama’s mother be a citizen when she was only 18 and Hawaii had just become a state”. Your post makes no sense. First off, a 5 year old is as much a citizen as an 18 year old as an 80 year old.
Second off, Obama’s mother was born in Kansas. Her living in Hawaii had zero to do with her citizenship.
I find it pretty funny that all those howling that Obama was born in Kenya aren’t going to say a word about Cruz being born in Canada.
“Prepare yourselves for an argument”
I wholeheartedly agree. If his candidacy gains traction, expect it.
