Today we saw the triumph of resolute religious believers over the homosexual lobby.
All this week the Massachusetts Knights of Columbus (K of C), a prominent Catholic mens' organization, repeatedly vowed that they would “absolutely, definitely” march in the newly “gay-inclusive” Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday. But the group finally bowed to the intense pressure from traditional Catholics. At 3:32 pm on Friday afternoon they sent out an email announcing they were dropping out of the parade.
After reading the reports by MassResistance and the Boston-based Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, faithful Catholics and others reacted swiftly. From Massachusetts, across America. and as far away as Europe, they made their anger and outrage unmistakable. According to one K of C person, even many priests called.
They phoned and emailed the Massachusetts K of C offices, state officials, and also the national K of C headquarters in New Haven, CT.
In the end, the K of C was clearly overwhelmed. According to observers, it appears that the national office finally saw that this was not worth the fight, and they backed off the plan to march.
Many people who protested were particularly angered by the insulting treatment they felt they received from the K of C. Besides being adamant that they would not change their decision, K of C officials refused to acknowledge people's concerns and insisting that the inclusion of homosexual groups would have no effect on the Catholic character of the parade, and that Catholic groups should have no issue with it. The K of C even began labeling it the “Evacuation Day Parade” to downplay the Catholic connection.
Sadly, even after their announcement, rather than be gracious and apologize, the Massachusetts K of C did not relent from their disingenuous line of reasoning. Here's what they've posted on their website:

We deeply regret that some have decided to use this occasion to further the narrow objectives of certain special interests, which has subjected this occasion to undeserved division and controversy. In addition, certain groups have chosen to misrepresent our reason for marching, insisting that we were participating in the parade to support another group or for political reasons.
Such statements, of course, completely miss the point and purposely obscure the real reason that people were so upset. The event is not about “special interests” or “political reasons” at all. It's a celebration of faith. And the overwhelming number of faithful Catholics – and others -- understand that.
C.J. Doyle, executive director of the Catholic Action League sent us this statement:
I want to thank Brian Camenker of MassResistance without whom this victory wouldn’t have happened. Though not a member of the Catholic religion, he has shown more courage and clarity in defending the Natural Law teachings of the Catholic religion than the faculties of most of the Catholic universities in New England.

This shows the power that people of faith have within themselves. We’ve said many times that the “LGBT movement” is an unsustainable house of cards held up by money and political power, but cannot last. As we hold fast to our principles, we'll gain momentum, so there will be more victories like this.

I have believed that since they started pushing for special treatment. Yes, they have little self-esteem even as programmed in our super-bitchen Fedgov supported National Education Association and the actual Department of Education.
Okay, so some kids grow with their genetic material screwed up. I believe that to be true. So they do their weird thing. Again, okay. Just don't push your abnormal tendencies in my face! There's a reason that they used to stay in the closet...they knew they would piss normal people off. They are doing it rapidly just like the race-baiters are doing. The race thing is going to come to a head, don't think the homo thing will because its about sex. Gawd forbid, anyone have a straight (pun intended) talk about normalcy.
Another thought: There is a reason I don't watch most reality shows like Bachelor, Big Brother, Redneck Dipshits of where ever, and especially Housewives of Who Gives a F*ck. They are of the same mentality of homos who are looking for that 15 minutes of fame and don't care how they get it. Honor, humility, truth, shame be damned. No wonder some countries think we've lost our minds.
Hope Raylan on "JUSTIFIED" goes to his woman and child in Florida. Love that show and his character and his no BS ways. He'll talk the talk until it's time to draw down...

after reading the story, it seems clear to me that the K of C leadership are homos
there is no reason a conservative, religious person would violate church doctrine to support homos in a parade that has absolutely nothing to do with homos ... other then homos trying to shove just the tip if their agenda into any Christian oriented event

I will not be celebrating St Patrick’s Day this year in solidarity with K of C.

Why would you give them that satisfaction? Celebrate the day, St. Patrick’s Day. Chant it from the rooftops why you aren’t celebrating the media and special interest groups takeover of this day. Keep enjoying for what is and was.

They obviously have mental and/or emotional issues that make them want to shock straights and proclaim victimhood. If they were really about sex and not their personal liberal/socialist agendas, they would STFU and do their thing without the need to broadcast it. Hell, I don't want to hear about what my straight neighbors do in bed. That's their business, not mine.
Pretty harsh guy. Although homosexuals are past the point of annoying, do you really want to see them put to death for a sex reason? I don't. I don't want them to be punished at all. I just want them to STFU and quit trying to play the victim for special treatment.
Exactly why so many of us believe they have mental and/or emotional problems. Sex is wonderful, but your life should revolve around it? Maybe for porn stars, but not regular folks.

I got my information from people who were born and raised in Ireland. Most of them tend to have home parties inviting friends and family. The big thing here are the parades, but parades are not the highlight for the regular folks.
