Video - "The Last Round You'll Ever Need
Nah, way over rated. Looks cool, not worth it. It’s called “merchandising”.
My first thought was, what are those fleshettes going to do on a 300 pound person with a healthy layer of insulation? As small and light as they are, he would probably get a nasty infection, but there is still the body of the round penetrating deeper, so it would probably work like any other ball ammo, just be messier to clean.
LOL!
Good concept. I have to say the video narrator is horrible, cost per round I will stick with my frangable DRT bullets
Those bullets are an overpriced gimmick.
If you want a nasty round, check the Liberty 9mm and the Bulgarian 7.62x36 Tokarev.

“The Last Round You’ll Ever Need”
cuz then you’ll be playing a harp while sitting on a cloud.
Later
“...Now the .45 ACP Winchester Ranger 230gr. JHP (which is a Black Talon with a new name) - THAT is an impressive round...”
Amen to that!! Some years ago, I retrieved some .40 cal of these that were fired into pumpkins after Halloween by digging them out from the the sand mound backstop just behind the pumpkins. Impressive is an understatement...indeed!! Six perfectly-shaped “talons” formed by the outer copper jacket. Each one just as sharp as a razor. While the inner lead core mushroomed like a typical hollow-point pedal. With those “talons” on that fast-spinning bullet, one can only imagine it gnawing thru gristle, bone, etc. Yes Sir! One bad-ass round for sure, and I keep 10 of em in my .45 cal Glock 30 Gen 4 all the time.
Around 25 years ago I bought several cans of cheap off brand tomatoes. I decided to video tape the reaction of several calibers and bullet weights.
One of the cans was shot with a 240 grain .44 magnum jhp. It split the can and threw tomatoes around but I was mainly surprised how unimpressive it was. Same for several other calibers.
The one which really looked impressive was some old “Super Vel” 9mm 90 grain jhp. Those little buzz bombs literally exploded the cans.
Now I know better than to try something like that on a Grizzly but still seeing that video made me want to never even think about being hit with one of them.
That is actually why I have the gun I have. It’s what stage troopers used to use before they went bigger.
wth kind of gun is that?
That’s a pretty bad, nasty round.
To which international treaty do you refer? I'm curious, because the vast majority of military ammunition uses bullets which have copper jackets.
I’d buy the best round I could find at Walmart. Recent lethal shootings in self-defense situations didn’t involve anything special bullet wise.
For similar effect you can get get a regular cartridge, a needle file to cut a cross on top of your bullet and save money. It is known since 1920s.
On the other hand I don’t know why any decent person might want to have ammo like these.
It’s a thuggish mafia and muslim thing.
Hollow point, drilled deeper. One drop of deadly poison. One drop of wax to seal it.
One hit (anywhere) equals one kill.
