So, how long would it take for somebody at tonight’s 87th Academy Awards to comment on lack of diversity among this year’s nominees?
Would you believe about 10 seconds?
Here’s host Neil Patrick Harris with a fake slip-of-the-tongue, “…we honor Hollywood’s best and whitest…”
We assume we’ll hear much more about this as the night progresses.

lack of diversity my a$$, there seems like there were more blacks involved than in past years. Its almost like the academy went out of their way to appease them. Oprah was there and at least 50 black presenters or performers so far...

Since it’s the academy members that vote for the nominees to begin with why doesn’t he just call the actors in the audience racists instead of dancing around it like a faerie..........oops! patrick probably didn’t vote for Selma either and only might have if it was about a queer fighting for, I was going to say equality but they won’t be happy with anything less than being proclaimed superior because it rhymes with posterior.

Yep - we saw Harris loose his bathrobe which got stuck in his dressing room door, coming back from an intermission.
So he kept walking to the stage in his briefs.
Of course someone could have thrown him a robe, but then there would not have been the underwear schtick.
Trouble is, it was not cute, sweet, funny, endearing etc etc. - it was STOOOPID.
And the briefs were so obviously stuffed with a sock or two - of course I looked ‘there-’ wasn’t that the point??!

An then out walks Julie Andrews, whose eyes were dewey the entire time she was at the mic.

Are you familiar with the 60s show “Combat!”? He and the other actors were so good that you’d swear they were real-life soldiers in the U.S. Army.
