Birthers are evil people who say that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. The first birther was almost certainly Barack Obama.
From 1991 to 2007, his literary agents promoted him as being born in Kenya. The only plausible place they could have gotten his bio from is from Barack Obama himself. There was no Internet in 1991. When someone wants a bio, they say “write a short paragraph about yourself.” It is implausible that his bio came from anyone else, or that his agents would have wasted time trying to pull together information about some recently graduated college kid’s birthplace and background.
Miriam Goderich of Acton & Dystel says that she didn’t do adequate fact checking, but she never said whose facts it was she was checking.
So why would Obama lie about his birthplace? If you ask that question, progressives call you a birther. (Queue in the usual progressive scumbags.)

2004
2007
Even he doesn’t know his real birth year. He was constantly changing it at the beginning of the coupe. In his elementary years, people commented he looked older and was taller than his classmates.
Or Malcolm X or Davis or some unsuspecting black serviceman Ann did the deed with.
He was spawned in Indonesia by mama Stanley Ann and the SE Asian guru, communist, cult leader Muhammid Subuh. Check him out along with mama’s fling.
However, what exactly do I know?
(1) Whereas a Honolulu, HI Dog License or Parking Ticket from the era in question is apt to be an actual, valid, legal document, the same cannot be said of Honolulu, HI Birth Certificates.
(2) A Honolulu Birth Certificate can represent the actual birth of an infant. Unfortunately, local custom also was ... or perhaps still is ... to grant a Birth Certificate to anyone reporting a 'Home Birth' without benefit of medical attendance. All one needed, or needs, to do was report to a local neighborhood city office and fill in the paperwork ... countersigned by one (1) witness... and hand it to the clerk. Voilà. The child in question is 'born in Hawaii," and has a Birth Certificate on record. Don't ask. Don't tell.
(3)This method has been used for decades to certify countless children ... and adults ... most notoriously from the Philippines, China, various Pacific Islands, etc. as 'Americans born in Hawaii,' sometimes long after the fact of their birth elsewhere at some indefinite time in the past.
(4) I suspect that the "diligent search" for Obama's records in Hawaii turned up just such a handwritten application which contradicts all official reports of hospital birth, COLB's, BCs, etc., which of course, cannot be proven, nor have been shown to actually exist by any reasonable standard.
(5) I strongly suspect Grandma or Granpa Dunham pulled this off, with a CPUSA friend as witness.
(6) It took Team Obama a while to get the story straight on the BC thing, because first Governor Abercrombie (an true idiot of the Left) inexplicably may have told the truth at first when he said there "was no BC!"
So now, you, me, and Sheriff Joe know all that a reasonable person can claim to know with a modicum of certainty ... which ain't much. And that, my dear FRiends has been Team Obama's goal in pulling off one of the great hoaxes of our history and making sure we can never eat lunch in this town again if we dare to bring it up!
I’m not talkng about opinions, I’m discussing documentary evidence that is admissible under the Federal Rules of Evidence.
Both Honolulu newspapers have confirmed that they did not accept birth notices from family members or friends, only directly from the Health Bureau. That’s why the section of the newspaper was called “Health Bureau Statistics.”
The burden of proof for all of your “coulds” lies with the challengers. Over seven years of trying they have not been able to meet that burden.
How would one go about confirming a home birth fifty four years later when the name and signature of an attending physician at Kapi’olani Hospital is on the birth certificate, signed on August 8, 1961?
A look in Maraniss's book reveals that the Pratts were actually the primary tenants at 6085 Kalanianaole and were sharing it with the Dunhams. It seems that the Pratts and the Dunhams were both recent arrivals in Hawaii. Bob Pratt had been in the furniture business with his uncle in Spokane. During the same time, Stanley Dunham had begun working at a furniture store in Seattle.
After a falling out with his uncle in 1958, Pratt moved to Hawaii, which he had visited while in the service, and opened a new furniture business. In the summer of 1960, Pratt hired Dunham, whom he knew by reputation and who had just arrived in Hawaii from Washington state. I'd pictured the furniture store as older and more established, not as the relative shoe-string operation it was, requiring the owner to share housing with his manager.
Maraniss describes the house as a yellow four-bedroom T-shaped ranch with a 450-square-foot storage cottage out back. Supposedly, Stanley Ann had a makeshift room outside her parents' bedroom.
It's likely the most important event in little Barry's life took place in BHO's apartment at 1482 Alencastre Street, overlooking the campus.
After Stanley Ann returned to Hawaii from her stint at the U of Washington and resumed her studies at the U of Hawaii, she would occasionally drop little Barry off at the furniture store, where Cindy Pratt, the teen-aged daughter of Bob Pratt, would look after him. She remembers him as a cute kid who liked to jump on the beds.
Cindy Pratt also remembers little Barry's birth as a "scandal and a half". The level of opprobrium was enough that Grampa Stan would imply to strangers that Barry was native Hawaiian. This in Hawaii, where there more interracial marriages than in any other state, and BHO, the exotic foreign student, was popular on campus.
Interesting.
The Pratt daughter tells Maraniss she remembers zero jumping on the beds in her father’s furniture store in Honolulu, but, if iirc, she also told Maraniss she didn’t remember any Dunham daughter with a baby at her parent’s address. So it would seem she didn’t show up in Hawaii with zero until he was old enough to jump up and down on the beds...probably after the Spring of 1963, when she enrolled at the university. And probably after she took him to the zoo, which is the very first image we have seen of them together.
Curious relationships you have there.
I got the name “grundle” from the video game “Adventure” on the Atari 2600.
‘Supposedly, Stanley Ann had a makeshift room outside her parents’ bedroom.’
Link/exact quote?
“It’s likely the most important event in little Barry’s life took place in BHO’s apartment at 1482 Alencastre Street, overlooking the campus.”
You must have overlooked this part:
Maraniss does concede in his 2012 Obama biography that [Ann] and Obama and the infant never lived [at 6085 Kalanianaole].
But Maraniss vaguely implied that Ann, Obama Sr., and baby Barack may have lived at 1482 Alencastre Street even though the Honolulu Polk directories listed Obama Sr. residing at 11th Ave.

‘How would one go about confirming a home birth fifty four years later when the name and signature of an attending physician at Kapiolani Hospital is on the birth certificate, signed on August 8, 1961?’
If you’re talking about the signature on the LFBC, that’s a forgery. CNN, via info from HI, confirmed it:
‘NEW YORK, July 24 (UPI) CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein told staffers of Lou Dobbs Tonight the controversy over President Barack Obamas birth certificate is a dead story.
Klein wrote in an e-mail to staffers Thursday that CNN researchers had determined Hawaiian officials discarded paper birth documents in 2001. Thus, he said, Obamas long-form birth certificate no longer exists, and a shorter certificate that is public is the official record.
It seems to definitively answer the question, Klein wrote in the e-mail, first reported by the Web site TVNewser. Since the shows mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite (sic). And then it seems this story is dead because anyone who still is not convinced doesnt really have a legitimate beef.
Some advice from the 1897 Sears & Roebuck catalog, "If you don't find it in the index, look very carefully through the entire catalogue."
You could start here. Hint: there's a search box below the cover thumbnail.
The image resolution (and the handwriting) is too much of a challenge for my tired eyes.
But a quick search turns up a hit on a site devoted to "where were you on September 11th, 2001":

I received a phone call from my daughter at 3:45am Hawaii Time. She is a flight attendant with American Airlines. She was very upset and told me to quick turn on the television, that a plane had crashed into one of the World Trade Center Buildings. Needless to say, as the events started to unfold I was thrown into a state of shock!!. My daughter kept calling and we would talk and cry and try to comfort each other. I will never ever forget the pain and sadness we both felt as we watched first hand the tragic events of Sept. 11. I was thankful my daughter was home at the time and not flying somewhere in the US. I was thankful my son was safe outside of the US. I mourned the lost lives and the families who had to watch as their loved ones perished in such an insane attack.
Everyones lives have changed forever, and life will never be the same as before Sept. 11.
It has brought this nation closer and seemingly more patriotic. It has opened our eyes to how thankful we all should be to live in this Land of the Free We truly live in the most glorious nation on earth. Hopefully, we will never again witness such an attack on our great nation.
God Bless America and God Bless the people who have lost their lives in vain and those who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom, and all of the families!!
CYNTHIA PRATT HOLTZ/54/HAWAII
Having been born in 1948, the furniture Pratt's daughter would have been 54 in 2002.
Little did she realize the monstrosity that was to jump on the national stage in only two years, giving the keynote at the 'Rat Convention.
Your link does refer to a makeshift ‘room’ outside the Dunham’s bedroom [isn’t that space more typically referred to as the ‘hall’?] but it also says that neither Ann nor the ‘infant’ ever lived there. It also mentions that the Pratt’s daughter has no memory of Ann bringing a baby home to that location.
Highly selective quoting there, Cynwoody. Your link proves my point, not yours.
Why are you so invested in defending Obama’s version of his nativity, anyway? He’s a pathological liar. The lies he has told about his birth are well documented. Besides, we have a couple of well-known, outed Obot trolls [one a retread] working hard to prop up Obama’s lies. Is it really necessary for conservatives to pitch in and help them?
& btw, what was the point of even mentioning this ‘makeshift room,’ if neither Stanley Ann nor the baby ever lived there? The same source that claims a ‘room’ existed outside the parents’ room also notes that Stanley Ann never lived in it. So why bring it up at all?
Probably, that's because the Dunham daughter with the baby was spending most of her time elsewhere. Even though, when filling out official forms asking for an address, she'd naturally give that of her parents' at the time: 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy. That's what I used to do when I was a student type, even if I was only at "my address" a few times a year.
So it would seem she didnt show up in Hawaii with zero until he was old enough to jump up and down on the beds...probably after the Spring of 1963, when she enrolled at the university.
That would be true. Stanley Ann had returned from her stint at the U of Washington, and little Barry was now old enough to jump up and down on beds.
Of course, the real point is, why did she suddenly take her newborn and split for the U of Washington when both she and its father were students at the U of Hawaii?
Those who make anything of the fact that she didn't spend much time at 6085 are barking up a tree.
Excellent summary.
