He’s staying on until his replacement is confirmed by the Senate which will probably happen in February. Don’t get excited though. His designated replacment wont be any better.

He’s pulling a Sandra Day O’Connor, and staying on the job until the Senate confirms a replacement. IOW, the resignation is contingent on a replacement being named.

This must mean the blackmail of Judge Roberts has woked perfectly, just like with Odammitcare.

I once thought this might be the catalyst that led some states to secede, turning gay marriage into Roe v Wade II but the appeals courts have largely done that already.

Doesn’t matter, really, in that anyone replacing Holder as Obama’s AG, would say the same thing.

Holder HAS resigned. But the effective date was left hanging, on purpose. He’s hanging around waiting for his successor to be confirmed. But he doesn’t have to do that, there could be an acting AG in the meantime, but Holder likes to stick in the knife and twist it until he leaves.

If there was an acting AG and Holder was actually out the door, he wouldn’t have so much fun every day...
