Montana officer Grant Morrison was found not culpable for shooting Richard Ramirez to death during a traffic stop last April, claiming he feared for his life because he thought Ramirez' hand was reaching for a nonexistent weapon.
After much testimony from police officers about what a bad guy Ramirez was and how he was high on meth, despite video evidence (below) that provides no evidence for Morrison's assertion other than that he was aggressive and high strung and hostile, but does show him continuing to shout bullying orders after opening fire and taking nearly a minute to call for medical help, Morrison was not charged. Some posters here. Bless their hearts. Cluelessly naive about cops
Any questionable shoot now that cameras abound
They will claim they acted high or erratic
As though that makes it ok
I easy to see how Nazi hacks took the work
Jelly donuts!
If they don’t murder you they’re at least going to yell at you and you’ll rightfully think you’re going to get shot. Then you’re nervous so you make one false move and BAM! You’re dead. Cops are out of control. The demand respect when they never show respect.
It’s a bit puzzling on FR with all the concerns over government out of control and our Constitution... but these same folks will say police can do no wrong.
If we don’t have to be concerned about abuses by law enforcement, what’s the problem?
This is the NSA “if you’re not doing anything illegal you don’t need to be worried about having rights” specious argument.
Was amazed the cop was screaming at the guy who was shot 3 times and likely already dead to get out of the car and lay on the ground...All show for the camera I imagine...
That could apply to me, I suppose, because every encounter I've had with a cop, over the years, has been all sweetness and light. In the most recent, he had me dead to rights doing maybe 65 in a 45 zone ( on a four lane road as wide as runway, FYI.) I was on my way to see KNOWING on a fine spring evening, and I was oblivious to my surroundings until my life was lit up in red and blue. Being pulled over, my encounter was routine ... license etc. He asked me if I'd had a ticket in the last two years. "No sir." He wrote me up and gave me a break on the speed which he recorded as 1 mph less than the boundary for draconian judgment, maybe 60 ... I forget. I made the movie on time, which taught the lesson that "nothing happens by accident." Groovy.
One time before that, back in the "comet days" as I call them, when I used to drive out west to observe, I got stopped right at the entrance to a toll booth near Dekalb. The thing was, there was this crazy cross road right in front of the toll booth, but it was invisible, as a road, as it was a simple pavement flush with the ground. There was a stop sign there, however, which I didn't see because I was fishing for change as I approached the booth.
I was actually sitting in the booth when the cop pulled up with his lights, of which the booth attendant informed me. I told him I didn't see the stop sign, which seemed to incense him, "How could you not see it when, blah blah blah, some reason," he said. "Well sir, I didn't see it," I replied. He went back to his car and came back and said since I had a clean record, he was giving me a warning. Groovy.
It's funny, but I had several other encounters with cops in my comet ventures, but the others were merely of an inquisitory nature. But I learned that they were out there.
I watched it too: It was unbelievably bad procedure, and there was no reason for the cop to force the issue. Back off and get backup...
FR has improved a lot! There are some people on here who actually process info.
What is pathetic and EVIL is talk radio and FNC. They are the jackboot lickers. And they do it because they don't want to offend their elderly demographic. Guys like Levin KNOW what's going on. But they don't dare say anything bad about anyone in a uniform. They are no better than Sharpton. Phonies all.
The pistol is the new billy club, he almost seemed be using it as a compliance weapon.
This comment to your linked video on his other shooting pretty well sums it up IMHO.
“ok my brother who is a cop said after seeing this and the other one, that a coward with a gun is a dangerous thing and cowards shouldn’t be police”
Most cops are good, the bad ones need to be weeded out AND NOT INSTEAD PROTECTED. This coward needs to be weeded out before he kills one of OUR kids.
Officer has no business with a badge, much less a gun.
Federal government is looking to take care of that. Bad apples won’t be cleared out— instead the police will be disarmed. For the French it is optional(heard that on Hannity), UK, Norway,Ireland, Japan (there are more) all have unarmed police. What’s the next logical conclusion if the police are unarmed?
Bicycles and tasers. That’ll do the trick, right?
That’s where we’re headed...
Why, the criminals will all disarm themselves, since they won’t have to worry about being shot by those bad policemen.
Wow... Obama is hiring for leadership position in his Brownshirts
The old “he made a furtive move” ploy.
It is all for the camera. That is why they are yelling, “Stop Resisting!” as they are knee dropping you and pulling your arms out of joint while 7 or 8 of them have you on the ground handcuffing you.
Police can kill anyone they want simply by claiming they feared for their life.
“Stop Resisting !!”
