Azealia Banks Wants to Track Down Descendants of Slave Traders, Make Them Pay Reparations

Azealia Banks is ready to end her music career to take on a new mission – tracking down the descendants of slave traders and making them pay reparations.

The 23-year-old rapper revealed her new passion after posting an article about the DeWolf family, who traded slaves from 1769 through 1820.

“I wonder where the descendants of the ‘DeWolf’ family are today. they should all have their houses burned and their finances seized,” Azealia tweeted. “This generation of young black kids needs to make a CONCERTED effort to seek out living descendants of major slave trading families. May we assume the payments will go to the descendants of Civil War Union veterans who gave their lives and limbs to win the war that ultimately resulted in the slaves being freed?

Black America generally behaves as if the freedom of their ancestors was handed to them for free. It was won in the blood of hundreds of thousands of men and by the sacrifice of thousands more who returned maimed and addicted to opiates...and there are all the widows and orphans who suffered as a result.

If I heard even a murmur of gratitude from black America for the casualties of the Union army, I would not be so annoyed...but I am annoyed with the whiney insistence that they are owed and owed and owed. Some of them claim the entire wealth of the country is based upon the labor of their ancestors.

Two of my great-great-grandfathers fought in the Civil War.

They were Illinois farmers, Lincoln Republicans, and both were seriously wounded (in an era when just about any wound was serious).

I fuzzily recall that the importation of slaves into the US stopped by law around 1800. That means anyone involved in the slave trading would be well back in the pedigree, and that their children could have prospered and generation huge numbers of descendants...this loon assumes that all of these descendants are fabulously wealthy based upon their importations of slaves, which is lunacy, but in her loon-world, she would seize the stuff of people who mostly probably don't know their ancestors' names or that they traded in people.

This money-for-nothing theme in the slug subcultures of black America is disgusting.
