Azealia Banks is ready to end her music career to take on a new mission – tracking down the descendants of slave traders and making them pay reparations.
The 23-year-old rapper revealed her new passion after posting an article about the DeWolf family, who traded slaves from 1769 through 1820.
“I wonder where the descendants of the ‘DeWolf’ family are today. they should all have their houses burned and their finances seized,” Azealia tweeted. “This generation of young black kids needs to make a CONCERTED effort to seek out living descendants of major slave trading families. Why shouldn’t morons like Azealia Banks make these kinds of demands? No one ever tells them no.
Until white people learn how to act in their own interests, this kind of nonsense will continue.
The whole “burning their houses” things seems somewhat at odds with the reparations plan.
I say go for it Ass-ealia (or whatever you’re calling yourself) We all could use a good laugh.
Slaves dream not of freedom, but of becoming masters.
What, multi-billions a year in “social welfare” and housing for gratis isn’t enough?
Never mind the notion of chattel slavery replacing indentured servitude (six years service and released in the seventh year) coming from what would nowadays be termed an “African American”, IIRC.
I know, this is just getting silly at this point.
And if someone who has the last name DeWolf has their house burned down?
What should the charges be?
The thing is they are emboldened because of our preezy and I would not doubt that he believes the same thing. Remember he has a phone and a pen and a congress full of fools who are willing to do his bidding.
I really do not feel too positive about the future.
