Azealia Banks is ready to end her music career to take on a new mission – tracking down the descendants of slave traders and making them pay reparations.
The 23-year-old rapper revealed her new passion after posting an article about the DeWolf family, who traded slaves from 1769 through 1820.
“I wonder where the descendants of the ‘DeWolf’ family are today. they should all have their houses burned and their finances seized,” Azealia tweeted. “This generation of young black kids needs to make a CONCERTED effort to seek out living descendants of major slave trading families. I agree, al the current slave owners should pay the current slaves. Oh wait. I guess we are through EBTs’, subsidies, affirmative action, etc.

My grandfather was born in 1876.My great grandfather was born in 1841.My great grandfather along with his brother, fought in the Civil War 110 th Regiment out of Penna.
I reel at how old my family was.My grandmother died in the 1930’s at the age of 56yrs and grandfather died in the early 1950’s. I remember going to my grandfathers funeral and I was about 3yrs old.My mom just recently passed at the age of 98yrs.

Slavery was illegal in Germany, Ireland, AND in the United States when my ancestors came over, so I’m good to go.
Neither do I! My ancestors owned plantations, one of which was what is now the Garden District of New Orleans. SOME of their descendants did-and do-benefit from inherited wealth, but not my side. The ELDEST son got the inheritance in those days, and passed it on the same way to their eldest. In a family of 12, the younger siblings(my great grandfather/mother) got NOTHING. So I have ‘cousins’ in the society pages who wouldn’t know or acknowledge me-much less share any of great-great-granddaddies slave profits. I would be amused to see thug-types like this Azalea person decide to ‘get theirs’. The truth is- as terrible as slavery was- being black in America is better than being black in Africa. It must be. I’ve never seen a mass exodus back to the motherland. And once these ‘rappers’ make a fortune with their obscene ‘music’ they could take that money back to their tribal homeland and make it a paradise. Why don’t they? So- yeah- let’em come on-let’em drive their Escalades and call each other on their Iphone 6’s to meet at my tiny apartment to get ‘reparations’ owed by my slave owning ancestors!! How about what they owe working taxpayers for generations of welfare?
My grandpa was born in 1920, and his father was born around 1890.
HIS father would have been about 1 when the Civil War started, so it would be my great-great-great grandfather who would have been around before the war.
That is, if any of my ancestors had been in the US before the war, which they weren’t.

I do not think Azaelia will like what she finds. And I seriously doubt she will be spending time in Africa searching for the tribes that conquered other tribes and sold them to the Arab and Spanish traders.

Boy is she in for a surprise when she finds out some slave owners were black and will she hunt down the blacks in Africa who sold their own people bet not it’s all about only the white man is the bad guy.

My great grandparents came over from Poland between the two world wars, and they weren’t exactly royalty in Poland when they left.
