Thousands mourn NYPD’s Officer Rafael Ramos in New York City

Hundreds of police officers show Mayor de Blasio their backs:

‘Progressive’ activist mayors in league with community organizer presidents and civil rights activists have power to spare, but not an iota of class.

If New York Mayor Bill de Blasio had any class, he would not have taken advantage of the protocol being mayor of New York allows him, to make a 10-minute speech at the funeral of fallen hero Police Officer Rafael Ramos.

Prostrate with grief, Officer Ramos’ family was in no position to keep de Blasio off the mic, at today’s funeral, but hundreds of Ramos’ grieving brothers in their dress uniforms turned their backs on a screen showing de Blasio as he spoke at one of New York’s saddest funerals.

The widow should have told the press days ago that she didn’t want that bum there.

Been there, but all you have to do is say NO. Prostrate with grief or not, she could just say no. Everyone there would have stood up for her.

Somehow de Blasio spoke for ten minutes and never once referred to the cops as pigs. It was also amusing to see the atheist, leftwing lowlife quote the Bible, eulogize Ramos as a man of faith and praise the NYPD. Anyone notice that de Blasio and Sharpton somehow have not been photographed together this past week?

Especially after insisting his “biracial son” was in danger from the police.

It’s unbelievable he said that, just the absolute most insulting thing any politician could say about the NYPD, to brand them all as racist killers when it comes to blacks even though a big percentage of the NYPD is black. He also made a comment to the effect that the NYPD has a “long history of racism”. It just blows my mind this piece of rat filth is still in office but it just goes to show how many sleazy leftists make up that city. I grew up there and moved 2 years ago, I couldn’t take it anymore. I *thought* Spet. 11th 2001 would have woke them up but obviously not, even after another Islamo-Nazi tried to blow a car up in Times Square they *still* support enemies of the United States.

Yup.
Then he backed Sharpton during the “What do we want, dead cops” BS.
And nobody of any real import has called him on it.

Yet some have their noses out of joint over the cops turning their backs on him outside a funeral.

Some of the comments on NYPD facebook page were disgusting. Shows that an awful lot of minorities still hate this country and are in denial about their self-inflicted pathologies.

Both families were probably worried that if they insulted the mayor, they might find death benefits being used as a way to extract revenge. Maybe delaying or withholding them. I wouldn’t put it past that piece of garbage.

The protesters have gone too far and public sympathy is swinging back towards being more supportive of the police again. People have their legitimate complaints about the police, but the protesters are even more unlikable.

...Officer Ramos’ family was in no position to keep de Blasio off the mic...

Yesterday there were a number of assertions/expressions of disappointment about the family for inviting De Blasio to the affair. I found some blog entries out there that asserted they did the invite, but couldn't find any story that verified. perhaps they just got steamrolled...
