I doubt that it will make a difference to the deputy because he personally will probably not have to fork out any money.

It might. He’s probably not very popular these days.

A personal lawsuit against these cops would be appropriate.

really good news!

........all you can say that is not honestly arguable on FR or anywhere else, even by Cops, is “there are good cops and there are bad cops”..................our job as a citizen is to just bear that in mind.

I think what we are seeing is LEA’s nationwide just have to get better at hiring better people and then training them better. This incident was woefully un-necessary and STUPID!

Good thing she didn’t bring her dog on that little errand that day!

Monies awarded will NEVER make a difference as it comes from taxpayer funded “revenue”. It does not hurt the rank and file or the administrators in slightest. It's not their money that is being given away.

You want to see some quick changes in the “bad-apples”, make all monetary awards come from the police pension fund.

They’ve certainly filled law enforcement with the right kind of people to keep the population of the FEMA camps cycling. Remember! Don’t take the free ride to the vacation camp.

Do not believe the local cops will be on the side of the people if the shtf. A deputy told me today that people need to “respect my authority”. And he did look a little like Cartman.

I wouldn’t be so hasty to make that statement, she now has enough money to hire even more lawyers. She definitely won the lottery!

If it were my wife who was the victim here, she and I would find a way to file a civil suit against the arresting officer.

The deputy needs to pay personally. He should be fired at a minimum.
