How come mailmen and meter readers can deal with dogs, but 'tough' police cannot?

The unidentified officer has shot 26 dogs, killing 25 of them, in just the last three years. Why is he unidentified?

Pets have more legal protections than human fetuses in the United States. This story will also generate more outrage than if the remains of 83 late term aborted fetuses were found in the snow in Buffalo.

We had a ‘badass’ Barney Fife type in a nearby town who shot a pot belly pig because he thought it was feral even though it was in a pen. He got fired for being a pussy.

This cop needs to be identified. Shooting that many dogs is an indicator of a severe behavioral disorder. Torturing/killing pets in large numbers often leads to doing the same to humans.
PS The above does not apply to hunters, legitimate self-defense, etc. Quite the contrary in fact.

When asked if the Buffalo police have undergone any special training in regards to dealing with dogs, or the handling of dogs in a non-lethal manner, Chief Richards said, It has not come to that point in Buffalo that weve implemented any of those other techniques. He used 17 words of political newspeek nonsense to say "No".

Because cops are stupid wussies.
When the military tries to encourage trainees in any training program they usually claim, “Pass this test or we’ll flunk you and you’ll become a cook or a cop.”
Cops are the dumbest of society and usually with serious personality disorders. No longer do we trust cops because cops are no longer trustworthy.

It is getting to the point where we can no longer trust most police. They have watched too many Hollywood production of Rambo style of shoot, shoot, shoot. They still will keep their job and all benefits even if they committed a felony by mistakes and no penalty but maybe put on a desk for a while.

The Reliance on a firearm instead of mental knowledge is concerning...
The lack of training and awareness of a given situation is pathetic...
The idea that firing a weapon at the wrong location should be grounds of criminal negligence...
Low pay - lack of education - and the environment created by lawsuits has seen those qualified to be police officers chose other professions leaving departments with the bottom-of-the-barrel applicants...
Couple this with ACLU and EEO - there are those within the police ranks that can’t even write a sentence that can be understood.
...and we wonder why dog shootings make the news - but 55 million aborted babies in the US do not...
Something is in the water that does not compute!

LOL, thats easy. The police are 1) armed, 2) longing to shoot something and 3) get a pass when involved in questionable shootings. Next question please....
Really the dog shooting thing is just a dress rehearsal for shooting humans. Its the easy way to desensitizing the public and getting much needed trigger time for COPs in the field. After all not much time/effort will be wasted for a mere dog. Once that becomes old hat unworthy of news its time for bigger ‘game’. That bigger game would be the citizenry. In fact you see it from time to time now in botched raids when the home owner is present. Itll just become far more common to hear the COPs shooting those present...just like the dogs. Today its the dogs tomorrow it you...

Some of these officers really do seem to get a thrill out of shooting animals. Which makes one wonder how they treat people. The hallmark of a psychopath is that they mistreat animals and then work their way up to abusing people. With regard to the one serial puppy-killer I wonder what his use-of-force record with people looks like? How many people has he killed?

That’s easy. Mail carriers are in cars and have little to fear from dogs. Police DO deal with dogs. Unfortunately for owners their method of dealing with them is to shoot them. :-).
Police that do this uncessarily are scum and should be fired... unless it is a pitbull then I am fine with it.
To: Bettyprob
Poor lil thing.
Cops are really becoming Jack Asses and thugs.
I hate saying that.
I really have the utmost respect for their jobs and crazy chaos they have to deal with daily but, if you are executing a search warrant or acting on a tip, they really and totally ought to do proper and severe surveillance to ensure their Perp is indeed present for capture.
Fk modern Cops.
Cept the few good guys...
