A few years ago, I relayed the following experience:
Multiculturalists would tell the four year-old boy in the photo that he was being white-washed. They would tell the 40 year old blogger hammering this post out on his keyboard, that he is a twinkie: White on the inside, yellow on the out. If I were black, maybe Id be an Uncle Tom and a sellout. I spent 6 years of my college time living with two of my teammates, who were brothers. They also happened to be middle-class black, from Alburqurque. One day, a student asked Greg, the younger brother, if he had been to any ASU meetings, lately. He replied that, Yeah, weve been out there; we compete there sometimes. (My roommates and I were on the gymnastics team- the older brother, Chainey, eventually making the 96 U.S. Olympic Team). The guy who asked Greg the question just shook his head and thought my roommate was so out of touch because Greg thought he meant had he been to Arizona State University; but what he really was asking is, had Greg attended any African Student Union group meetings. Those two former roommates are now very successful doctors, upper middle class, in solid marriages with beautiful children.
In wake of the recent Bleacher Report that charged some in the Seahawks locker room didn't think quarterback Russell Wilson was "black enough", his teammates have denied that allegation. In addition, outspoken Charles Barkley weighed into the controversy:
The fact that Wilsons blackness was even questioned struck a nerve with former NBA star Charles Barkley, who was asked about the situation on a Philadelphia radio show last week. There are a lot of black people who are unintelligent, who dont have successits best to knock a successful black person down if theyre intelligent, they speak well, they do well in school, and theyre successful, Barkley said on WIP Radio last Thursday.
The Basketball Hall of Famer elaborated on those comments Monday at a media day for TNTs Inside the NBA.
What I said was, its a dirty secret in the black community unless youre a thug or got a criminal record or just a jackass, some people dont think youre black enough, Barkley said. Its a dirty little secret in our community. I want black kids [to know] we can be strong, intelligent. We just tell kids if youre doing good in school, youre acting white. If you speak intelligently, youre acting white. Thats bull[expletive]. Thats one of the reasons we as a group, us black people, are struggling. We dont have great respect for each other.
Barkley said that he hadnt gone on the show prepared to speak on the topic, but that the hosts brought it up in conjunction with the Wilson story.
The question was asked. I talked about it in my last book. One of the problems in our black community is us, not white folks, other black folks. It just happened to come up because the Russell Wilson thing just broke. Its not something I hadnt said before. I dont know why people took it national last week. You dont have to be a thug or unintelligent. Youre supposed to do great academically. Youre supposed to speak correctly. You dont have to have street cred. I tell people, Were the only group where if you have a criminal record it makes you more black. Its ridiculous.
Barkley is sticking by those statements, despite taking heat. Interestingly, criticism for his statements also comes from a conservative perspective as well:

Two of my children are adopted black children. They are being raised a couple of pasty melanin deprived types.
I suspect that means they’ll be Chocodiles.
I thought Getty images were a no-no.

Barkley’s right!!!
Good for Sir Charles, “the round mound of rebound!”
Getty are all fair use. Announced less then 9 months ago.
I read in Time magazine back around 1970 that approximately 65% of the U.S. population is more than one race, or of mixed-race.
I stand corrected.

Charles Barkley sounds crazy a lot of the time but I think he is 100% correct on this.
It is called Guess Who We are Eating for Dinner.
And more now. It is the box I check on all those stupid forms. The better to impede Libtard Classification with, my dear.
Better red than dead. Go Redskins! My 2 cents.
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus lane
He doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor
He loves you just the same
Santa Claus knows we’re all Gods children
That makes everything right
So fill your hearts with Christmas cheer
‘Cause Santa Claus comes tonight!
Not then. Soon.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who clicked on this thinking it would be about snack foods.
Actually doing research on one’s ancestors can be eye-opening.
When doing ancestry research I found my great-grandmother on Ohio’s census for 1900, and surprise! She was listed alone, her son and husband not listed with her, and the census stating that she was ‘Colored’.
She always stated that she was Italian-Swiss. My grandfather, her son, would laugh. Supposedly, she was born in Memphis, TN, in 1874, but I cannot find any female baby from that time and place that matches her name. It is a mystery.
I suspect that with the increase in people searching for their ancestor’s backgrounds, many more will be surprised at what they find.
are you going to be demanding a share of the reparations?
You are not the only one who clicked on this thinking is would be about snack foods.
Are you happy now?!
We, too were surprised ... this pale family of blonds and redheads trace back to Cherokee Indian ancestry.
No one has ever noticed our high cheekbones and guessed our background ;-)
