Nearly six in ten black Americans (59 percent) believe that there would already be a cure for the deadly Ebola virus had it originated in Europe or America.
A YouGov/Economist poll also found that 62 percent of Americans think "more would have been done" to combat Ebola had it not originated in West Africa. Forty-two percent of Americans also believe there would be a cure had the virus originated in Europe or the U.S. while 23 percent do not think that would be the case....

It's funny they were so far advanced they did not study astronomy but decided astrology/horoscopes was more important.

I am beginning to think that “Bush’s fault” really meant “Whitey’s fault.”
Well who’s in charge down there in Africa where they haven’t found a cure?

People have come down with full blown Ebola, one step from death, and recovered with nothing more than oral fluids with electrolytes. These aren’t common cases, but the science supports that the antiviral drugs like Zmapp give a person more time to fight off the disease with their own immune systems.
I’m a white conservative and even I think this is true. Of course we’d put our resources into something that effects us directly.
(Of course, I’m curious if there’s going to be a mad rush to cure *any* of the outbreaks that we’re being hit with. I’m not holding my breath. Innovation seems to be something that we’ve lost.)
AIDS and Ebola were transferred by EATING bush animals.
And, yes. It could happen here. I’ve seen what people in Louisiana eat on a regular basis. (Don’t get cocky! lol!)

Were the animals eaten raw? If not, how did the virus survive cooking.
This “eating infected animals” just doesn’t cut it.
It’s not the eating of the animals. It’s the butchering that spreads it.
It's not just eating monkey meat. I used to think that's what they meant by "bushmeat".
Then I did some research.
It's far worse than that. "Bushmeat" means any kind of animal, and they're not particularly particular about whether they kill it, or just find it dead in the bush. Either way it goes on the grill. It's the difference between squirrel hunting, and picking up dead squirrels (and possums, and 'coons, and groundhogs, and can't-identify-it) off the side of the road.
