France, Spain and even England historically have much closer ties to Africa and Africans than the United States. Why have there been no ebola scares in these countries? Seems I recall a brief panic in Italy earlier in the year, but nothing else.

Perhaps the media is rabid than here.

In the US you can read news stories about ebola 24 hours a day and not read any of them twice.

Couple of things. Some reports say that those countries have flight restrictions for people with passports and flights directly from the regions.

Some reports say it is in France, but they are not reporting it, because they need the tourism dollars.

Could be true.
