If Bill Gates wants to do some real good he would put the money up that it would take to duplicate and send to Africa multiple CDC/Emory University isolation wards, with all of the necessary personnel.
Why worry about ISIS ebola bringing ebola to the US.
We’re sending our warriors to it.
Nooby blog pimp.
He was doing a fine job of that without the ebola.
This is the first thing I thought when I read of the troop deployment. These troops should mutiny.
"Hey, it was an act of God."
Anyone in the military who COOPERATES in sending these soldiers to get infected in Africa is a CRIMINAL. Obama’s order to send troops to get infected with Ebola is precisely the kind of immoral and unlawful order that MUST be disobeyed.
Why doesn’t some commander just say “NO”?
It makes no sense to send soldiers to treat sick people.
But then it also made no sense that the DOD was somehow supposedly involved in coming up with a potential antidote for ebola. Did anybody ever figure out why the DOD was involved with what the CDC or NIH should have been doing? Was it just a way to get people to connect the military with the job of “fighting disease”?
Is there panic/violence in Liberia because of ebola? If so, then that would be the reason to have somebody there. Not to “treat the sick”.
The whole thing stinks.
If we don't stop it now, it will come anyway. The military can do things that help without directly caring for patients. such as setting up medical facilities, delivering supplies and enforcing quarantines.
They should use local labor (avg wage $200/mo) as much as they can to help the local economy which has been devastated by Ebola, but segregate that labor from our troops.
The only good thing about Ebola, is that it could put a dent in globalism. As trade and economies tend to collapse everywhere it goes.
And people wonder why I did not want my son to enlist in the Marines under the command of this piece of shit.
...AND to reduce the population over here...
I don’t know if I buy into this but I will ask another question..
Why the hell doesn’t the USSR give a chit? Or do they?
Ebola crisis could last for years if not controlled quickly, CDC says.
