The Obama DOJ’s Subversion of the IRS Investigation

Yet another indication of the endemic corruption that infests the Obama administration, their Democrat colleagues and a willfully somnambulant mainstream media

In a letter written to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder by House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA), Issa reveals there was an attempt to coordinate media spin regarding the IRS investigation between the DOJ and the staff of the Committee’s Ranking Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD). How did Issa find out? A DOJ official in the Office of Public Affairs who thought he was calling Cummings’ office, mistakenly phoned Issa’s office instead.

Yeah. They’ll throw Issa another little bonelet and he’ll choke on it. Anything to get him diverted, and anything they let him have, he will dutifully divert on according to their wishes. “Let’s pretend we are lawyers and look at me, I’m heading this very important committee, woohoo!” Issa is rapidly becoming the DOJ’s absolute best friend in this IRS investigation. They are playing him like a student violin. It’s one sick pile of crap on what should be a prosecutorial feeding frenzy. But we have Issa in charge. This is a tragedy, it’s not even comical any more. This will be Issa’s legacy: That he ran this IRS investigation right up its own a**hole.

“Wonder if the individual who called the wrong office still has a job?”

In case it isn’t clear from what I wrote above——my own belief is that it was done on purpose. Kind of a communication “false flag”. This is being done because $1000/hour lawyers (whom we pay for) understand that Issa can be counted on to be thrown off any sort of coherent trail by dropping in his lap what they know he (Issa) will take as a juicy piece of evidence. And he will pick it up and endeavor to follow it diligently. Very devious strategy, but the other side knows exactly what and whom they are dealing with in the person of Mr. Issa. They understand perfectly that he is on an ego-driven “pretend to be a lawyer” jag; but not just any old lawyer, a lawyer supposedly leading a Congressional inquiry. They know Issa thinks he is so damned important and they will cleverly use that insight against him, brilliantly. And it is working magnificently. They will feed him misinformation like this, in a way that makes him think he is even smarter than he thought he was yesterday. And when it is all done, he will have climbed right up his own rear end with all the seriousness and apparent weight he can muster and effectively destroy this case.

Remembers that Dems/libs are absolute masters in the art of changing the subject. What they are doing here is akin to the action of a Virus. They have injected this “topic-changing” technique into Issa’s ego; now he is doing their work for them. It is completely disheartening to realize this even as I am in awe at the sheer deviousness of their strategy.

I can't help but wonder how it is that DOJ guy just started yapping. Does Issa's staff answer the phone with no introduction or identifying greeting?
