“Can’t get close to each other”
Given that black mobs tend to attack whites, as in the case at Texas A&M where 2 whites were beaten to death by a mob of blacks, I am not sure getting close is a good idea.

I guess by this method, saving each others lives in war, playing on the same sports team or working together for thirty years would not count as “friendship” - only being friends on Facebook does.
They take this abstraction, possibly lie about it (as leftist academicians often do) and then promote the narrative - See its proven, Americans are racist.
The bulk of my “friends” on Facebook I don’t know from a hole in the wall - they are just added to collect things for the online games that I play.
Like Chris Rock says in his seminal masterpiece, “How Not to Get Your Azz Kicked by the Police.”
“Get a white friend.”
Look, I have black colleagues and get along with them but my life is not the BS life that popular media tries to sell with happy, shiny white and black people doing everything together like driving in car commercials or dancing on the deck at a bbq.
Sorry that is as bogus as the single black mom with two terrified kids afraid of a white burglar...
How is this possible? Every TV commercial shows groups of black and white friends.
Somebody with excess time on his hands saw a way to stir up further racial animosity and wrote this useless article.
The instinct to associate with people who look and act most like you (aka. racism) is a survival instinct going back to the earliest humans, where approaching the wrong group led to your death. In may places in the world it still can. In a civilized society we can overcome it, but it’s never going to go away.
from the gist of that article it’s pretty much all whiteys fault.
What a fresh unique media perspective /s
Nobody of any race can have that many friends. They can have that many coworkers in a large corporation, or that many casual social contacts over a period of time, or go to church with 300 people, but that's not the same as being friends.
Only around 10% of the population is black.
The vast majority of the black population lives TOGETHER in communities... of black people.
Therefore most of us don’t live near or interact with more than a handful of black people which by mathematical necessity means most of us don’t encounter enough blacks in day to day life for the odds to favor forming a friendship.
Where do people make friends? Work, school, church, sports... all the things people don’t do anymore.
Black people just don’t reach out to me.
It’s hard to do because friends can talk to each other about anything, with some blacks you have to ponder and preview everything you say in order to not “offend”. Walking on eggshells is no way to have a friendship.
At the job I used to have, in the 80’s, at all company gatherings the blacks would all get off to themselves, shunning any whites who tried to include them.
This pendulum swings both ways. Bluebirds don’t hang out with cardinals, but they manage to co-exist in the world.
People of the same race or ethnicity gravitate toward each other.
Here’s a demographic map.

Heston noticed that during breaks of filming of Planet of the Apes, actors hung out together depending on what type of ape they were portraying.
Some of my best friends are Puerto Rican and that’s close enough...
Idiotic stats...
Its part of human nature and natural and normal for individuals to prefer people who share similar values and sense of life.
I don't see many black people trying to make friends with me. Why didn't he/she/it ask about black people who never walked in a white friend's shoes? How about the black people who have, but still like to marinate in the pity gravy.

Freedom of association is a hate crime! There should be a government agency that assigns relationships to people, and the distribution should be representative of the general population.
