I’ve been there a few times too. It’s an odd experience. The Cyclorama is an impressive thing to see, if only because of the obviously huge amount of work that went into it. Creeping along its length at your own pace, you stop and ponder the details of a hundred little sub-plots and dramas that make up the battle.

It’s being moved, from the zoo to the Atlanta History Museum. HUGE project. Interesting factoid: There are actually additional panels that weren’t installed at the zoo’s exhibit, since that room was too small to accommodate all of them. The additional panels will be included in the new location ...

We have family memberships at both the zoo and the AHM, which is why I’m in the loop a bit on this ...
