AUGUST 23, 2014 Obama’s Endless Vacation In the 1990s, America had a holiday from history. Today, it has a president on holiday. By Matthew Continetti
The headline was brutal. “Bam’s Golf War: Prez tees off as Foley’s parents grieve,” read the cover of Thursday’s New York Daily News. Obama’s gaffe was this: He had denounced the beheading of James Foley from a vacation spot in Martha’s Vineyard, then went to the golf course. Seems like he had a great time. Such a great time that he returned to the Farm Neck Golf Club — sorry, membership is full — the next day.
Technically, Obama’s vacation began on August 9. It is scheduled to end on Sunday, August 24. With the exception of a two-day interlude in D.C., it has been two weeks of golf, jazz, biking, beach going, dining out, celebrating, and sniping from critics, not all of them conservative, who are unnerved by the president’s taking time off at a moment of peril.
Attacking the president for vacation is usually the job of the out party. But these days it is the job of all parties. Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, the Islamic State, Ebola, child migrants on the border, racial strife in Ferguson, an American murdered by the caliphate — critics say the president who danced to every song at Ann Jordan’s birthday party seems remote and aloof from, and even mildly annoyed by, such concerns. Well, the wagu is hard to come by, but you can probably get arugula somewhere. It is just a slightly bitter tasting lettuce, or green, or whatever. Not really a big deal, but many people do enjoy it.
If you have a Costco nearby it is worth joining just to get the beef, you can actually get “PRIME” beef there, like restaurants serve.
We have gotten some melt-in-your mouth delicious steaks from Costco.
BTW, the comments over at NRO to the piece are pretty good, they have a pretty rollicking thread going on.

I think he is supposed to be Spanish, or I guess Mexican, since it’s a Mexican beer.
He’s actually a Jewish guy, who lives in like New Hampshire or something.
I read a most interesting piece about him. The ad agency was thinking about going with a much younger person, but his wife (who might also act as his agent, I can’t remember really) secured him the part.
She said to them: do you really think you can be the most interesting man in the world when you’re 35?
And just think: In September he’ll take another vacation. He averages one a month.
A family of moochers, who are laughing at the American people because they both know they got there because of the color of their skin and nor the character of their hearts or the veracity of what they say. So many qualified Blacks in the U.S. and this is what winds up president. Obama was eleected because of the complexion of his skin, but he has been a disaster for Blacks and people of all the rest of the colors.
The elites gather, golf, gaggle and then take time out to dictate to the citizens of the republic.
The high-paid factotums have only one task: reporting to Obama what the populace is saying about his presidency.

He took an oath, and swore to defend the USA against all enemies---foreign and domestic. But he's letting in swarms of gangs, drug cartels and assorted criminals at the border.....and the savage ISIS---calling itself Islamic State----doesn't even get a rise out of him.
