These are the guys who were going to rub Israel’s nose in the mud.
Go IDF!
Arabs are real big on trash talk
The are the ones that want to drive Israel into the ocean.
Finish ‘em off.
High capacity water pumps to fill the tunnels with water from the Med.
I’m surprised that the Israelis hadn’t counter sapped all of those tunnels.
I’m thinking that it’s a combo of getting their butts kicked as well as a little Sun Tzu.
My sentiments precisely...
I think this is an excellent opportunity to wipe Hamas out, and the interruption of flights into Ben Gurion an additional excuse to crush their military capability completely
Hamas can act all tough when they’re engaging in terror attack and kidnappings, but they are absolutely no match for any modern professional army, let alone one as good as Israel’s.
Despite all of the international pressure, this is the time for the IDF to press as hard as they can and cripple Hamas to the point that it will take decades for them to recover, if ever.
Update: As Israel’s political leaders debated a ceasefire well into Friday evening, a top military leader took the unusual step of discouraging a ceasefire, the Times of Israel reports, confirming the Jerusalem Post’s report about Hamas retreat:
The spirit of Hamas terrorists is weakening, Southern Region Commander Maj. Gen. Sami Turgeman says. I see terrorists in distress, abandoned by their commanders who deserted them at the front and stayed behind
and facing them, our reserve and standing army units led by commanders leading the force.”
I hope these reports are true. I also hope the IDF can do the same against Hezbollah if that becomes necessary. They had very mixed results against them last time they were in Lebanon.
Do not stop until the slime cannot make a comeback. No more re-arming cease fires!
...........and beheading people with their hands handcuffed behind their back!
IDF will decimate them because soon they will be dealing with Iran.
“Im surprised that the Israelis hadnt counter sapped all of those tunnels.”
If you or I think of it, then the Israelis have already long since considered every possible countermeasure to the tunnels. Not to mention the Aswan High Dam.
Flooding the tunnels seems from here to be an effective solution.
What about the story that the IDF struck only days before thousands of Pali terrorist rats would have surged out of those tunnels, inside Israel? Scary.
But the seawater would quickly drain into the ground and leave the tunnels intact. I would prefer pumping in a fuel-air mixture under high pressure and then detonating it. The contained explosions would blow entire tunnel networks at one time, and would leave a clear outline visible from the sky. Then there could be no arguments about their existence, complexity or purpose. (The only drawback is that the brave Palestinians would quickly pack their children into the tunnels so they could blame the evil Joos for killing them.)
I also remember that Hezbollah was a bit harder to deal with than I expected. The terrorists seemed to have some success against Israeli tanks.
Maybe a lot of lessons were learned then and the future will be different.
They did not fight all out in Lebanon last time, under Labor gov’t
And Israel has quietly QUADRUPLED her air striking power over the last year or two, precisely for this task...
As for the Lebanese gov’t -dominated by Hezbollah still, I believe- the IDF could destroy the country’s military capacity in just four hours, if necessary:
