Obviously, the safety issue is very important. But, I don't know a single gun owner who doesn't know when and where he/she can safely fire their weapons.
Why do it?
1. Americas revolution was an armed revolution -- and not a fireworks display -- that led to the freedom of this nation. People died. People gave 'their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.'
2. Fireworks are nice, pretty, a crowd pleaser. And, for a country that understands their past, present, and future freedom, fireworks are a good reminder. When our own Veterans Administration can't remember that "Independence Day" is not the 3rd of July, it is time to rattle the cage a bit. And, honestly, how many think beer, hot grill, and firecrackers instead of 'Give me liberty or give me death!' ? I'd say the vote comes down enormously on the side of scorched hot dogs.
3. Our Freedoms are under attack. Fire your weapons on the 4th, America's Militia! Let them know you're armed and lethal. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Yeah ... even when occupied ... it’s vacant.
sure, keep telling yourself that.
What is the 8th word in the title and the entire first line of the thread?
must be the 25% liberal in you talking - go play with sparklers
Probably worried about EPA warnings.
And who exactly suggested that anyone should shoot their weapon without knowing where the bullet will impact?
lets not confuse a good flame war with facts
LOL!
How Y’all doing? Get settled in yet?
I’m thinking some good ol’ fashioned Black Powder in the Muzzle Loader would be Historically correct;)
Those facts are obstinate things, aren’t they?
I hate it when a thread gets posted and the first comment is stupid. Maybe he hadn’t had his morning coffee. Who knows?
I can do that. :>)
Pretty much (re)established life May 11 when we got electricity and phone/internet on the 12th
I posted a "send no more money" thread around that time and ... LO!
no more money came in
/8^)
Everything since then has been reconstructing the things we used to have ... stairs and deck into the house .. plumb a well line in a trailer that had no place for an expansion tank .. etc.
A couple of days ago, I started to rebuild what was my shop ... crying half the time as I saw the marks (like shadows of Hiroshima victims .. ) ... thar was my router ... there's my saw and grinder ... those used to be screw drivers ... my very expensive wood chisel set ... etc
Are you seriously too timid and afraid to “test fire” a gun into the dirt on the 4th of July, while just as loud rockets are exploding in the air above you?
Are you afraid of killing a worm? Can you explain the danger?
Every local gun range in a 25 miles radius from my home is booked solid through the weekend. Might have to make a trip out on the boat this weekend.
So are we going to coordinate a time so this happens across the Country in all timezones?
Like Round 2 of the “Shot heard around the World”
Some people just can’t comprehend what they read .Pc spell’n po lice.
I feel Your pain on the Tools, thinking about that makes My stomach turn.
Something only us guys would understand.
I guess to explain it to the Ladies replace the word Tools with Shoes.
