Obviously, the safety issue is very important. But, I don't know a single gun owner who doesn't know when and where he/she can safely fire their weapons.
Why do it?
1. Americas revolution was an armed revolution -- and not a fireworks display -- that led to the freedom of this nation. People died. People gave 'their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.'
2. Fireworks are nice, pretty, a crowd pleaser. And, for a country that understands their past, present, and future freedom, fireworks are a good reminder. When our own Veterans Administration can't remember that "Independence Day" is not the 3rd of July, it is time to rattle the cage a bit. And, honestly, how many think beer, hot grill, and firecrackers instead of 'Give me liberty or give me death!' ? I'd say the vote comes down enormously on the side of scorched hot dogs.
3. Our Freedoms are under attack. Fire your weapons on the 4th, America's Militia! Let them know you're armed and lethal. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
A bad idea to shoot your weapon without knowing where the bullet will impact.
Just remember to follow the safety rules and don’t shoot them up in the air like all the idiots do around here...
Read the first line
"Obviously, the safety issue is very important. But, I don't know a single gun owner who doesn't know when and where he/she can safely fire their weapons."
Excellent points, xzins
Consdering how many people shoot their guns up in the air to celebrate, I find that argument questionable.
I've had similar thoughts and made similar statements in the past that you have succinctly stated ... Happy Birthday, Patriot.
HOW many ?
quivering weak sister
Blank cartridges are your friend......
I have some excellent Hollywood “5in1” blanks, so called because they will fit and fire in: .44Mag, .44Special, .45 Colt, .44-40, and .38-40. No wadding, and louder than a live round!
seriously? What are you 12?
Anyone know where a fella can safely fire from a Tiger tank?
well gee why don’t you go out and start shooting up in the air and see what happens.
I stand by what I’ve said. You’re weak. Go find a weak nation to fear troll. You’ll fit in.
If I did .... that would be one ... is that “considering how many” ?
Excellent points and we will joint the festivities in southern Rhode Island. We always start with the mountain howitzer we use at re-enactments and continue on with “mucho” musket fire. That howitzer, civil war era, is heard all over town.
Now you’re running out for someone to support you, so who’s really the weak one here bozo.
You are stupid and foolish not to address the most obvious point when urging people to shoot their guns instead of fireworks.
Umm... 1600 something;)
“Anyone know where a fella can safely fire from a Tiger tank?”
Might try being consultant in Ukraine or Mideast- get all the practice you want. /semi sarcasm
Among other things, you really need to learn to read. And, I wanted a friend to see someone this weak and laugh with me about it.
