From someone who has lived under a tyrannical system, take Dr. Paugh's comments for what they are worth. Never in 67 years have I seen the country so divided and in such turmoil. Accident? I don't think so. (I guess the first 15 or 20 years don't count too much. :>})

It has been gone for a few years. The Constitution is ignored. GOD cannot be mentioned. Responsibility has been replaced with government handouts. Limited government is a thing of the past. The nation is now ruled by a king/dictator.

disagree with that...lets try leftist fascist communists.
But the end result is the same for thee and me.

I sense that Americans have had enough and are fighting back via primary defeats of folks such as Rep. Eric Cantor.

Since the same question was probably asked during the Civil War, Founders’ America could actually be around for a long time.

Actually started down the hill with Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.
FDR and LBJ did huge amounts of damage. Carter was an idiot and Clinton was a scum, but they actually did less damage than LBJ.
John Dewey and others set the public schools on their downward track.
But it’s true that Obama is the worst President ever, and that the decay is growing more rapidly than ever before.

I think the more relevant question is this:
How long before the majority of Americans realize that it is already gone?
How Long before Americans realize they have already lost their freedom?
How long before Americans realize THEY pissed it away themselves?

There's still hope to right the ship.
- We've made slow progress on cleaning up the voter registrations.
- We've made slow progress on voter ID.
- We are making slow progress on throwing out the GOPe and replacing it with true conservatives.
- Obama's approval ratings are low, though still high enough to indicate that we have not yet won enough minds and hearts of the electorate.
But there are still serious problems...
- We need to win the Senate in addition to restoring the GOP.
- Neither party recognizes that our trade policy, specifically low import tariffs, is the root cause of our economic problems.
- The illegal alien problem has gone on for so long now, that a complete deportation is practically unthinkable because they have married our citizens.
- The debt is out of control. But it can be brought back under control by electing a fiscally responsible President AND fixing the economy by restoring the import tariffs.
- Our military and our school systems have been gayed, and need to have a full exorcism, and values reinstated.

It’s in the rearview mirror now. The question is do we have enough fuel left to go back and pick it up?

How Long Before the Founding Fathers America Disappears? That ship sailed decades and decades ago.

1913 was the year it really started downhill. The Federal Reserve was created, along with the income tax and the IRS. We’re just over 100 years into our own destruction.

It’s tempting to say “it’s been gone for years now” but some things are still working pretty well. I can do pretty much whatever I want. However, what I want to do might be affected by what I can do. I can’t start a business, I can’t pay for my own education, I can’t pay for my kid’s education, I can’t travel like I want. I usually chalk that up to personal choices I made, but maybe things would be different if The Founder’s America still existed.

It’s been gone since the 16th and 17th Amendments were ratified. Or, if you don’t think that change was radical enough, since Wikard v. Filburn was wrongly decided.
The only question now is how long before it’s too late to revive the Founding Fathers’ America without a violent revolution — and the answer will become clearer after the next two election cycles. (Not that the revival can be done in a few election cycles, just if they go the right way it will still be feasible, if they go the wrong way, it will soon be time to reach for the cartridge box because soap, ballot and jury will have failed.)
