Conservative comedian Evan Sayet explained why the American left is so opposed to argument or debate, arguing that liberals view thought as so inextricably bound to race, identity and orientation that they have actually turned thinking into a hate crime.
Sayet spoke at the Unite IE Conservative Conference in Riverside, California this weekend, where he discussed how liberals consume and process information very differently from other political ideologies.
Liberals only do well when they lecture to you, he asserted. They do just fine on the 23-minute nightly news, where [NBC's] David Gregory dictates the truth to you. Take those same arguments to the debate and discussion programs on cable, and its only Fox News.

Take anything that liberals say and remove the adjectives and adverbs.

By its very definition, a hate crime is a thought crime.

...its not that the liberal is stupid, its that he has made thinking into something he will not engage in. One of the best summaries of liberal thinking I've ever read, and falls squarely in line with my experience in trying to have a reasoned discussion with a liberal.

By its very definition, a hate crime is a thought crime.
That was my argument when the laws were being debated before passing. And here is the funny part: When the guys who dragged a homosexual behind their pickup are charged with extra special “hate crime” batter, but the ones that did it to you just wanted your wallet, does the law not think the guys that did it to you deserve the same penalty? Are you a second class citizen or something?
The whole “hate crime” concept is repugnant to me in evey way possible, and it is insulting to anyone who understands the constitution and its foundational principles.

Thats the definition of a so-called hate crime: legislating on thoughts rather than actions. Petersen is only figuring that out now?

Forty years ago, I observed that leftists explicitly believed that everyone agreed with them, because they were self-evidently correct. They openly said so; they were puzzled and hurt if anybody openly disagreed with what they said. Such persons must have ulterior motives, and had to be evil.
They still think and act that way.

Here’s talk he gave at the Heritage Foundation. One of the most intelligent, well-reasoned, enjoyable lectures that I’ve ever heard.

I bought his book, “KinderGarden of Eden: How the Modern Liberal Thinks” and have recommended it to everyone I know.
His thought process reminds me of Reagan.
