...Towson University won the 2014 Cross Examination Debate Association's national championship. Towson defeated the University of Oklahoma. What was Towson's strategy? Inexplicably using the N-word over and over again in an incomprehensible tirade.
Here is an actual excerpt (with profanity redacted). See if you are able to tell what Towson is arguing in favor or against:
They say the n*****s always already qu***, that's exactly the point! It means the impact is that the that the is the impact term, uh, to the afraid, uh, the, that it is a case term to the affirmative because, we, uh, we're saying that qu*** bodies are not able to survive the necessarily means of the body. Uh, uh, the n***** is not able to survive.Have no idea what the person was arguing? Here, maybe another real excerpt will help you:
Uh, man's sole "jabringing" object disfigure religion trauma and nubs, uh, the, inside the trauma of representation that turns into the black child devouring and identifying with the stories and into the white culture brought up, uh, de de de de de, dink, and add subjectively like a white man, the black man!
Again, this is a national championship. The organization that holds the debate was founded over 40 years ago and has held national debate tournaments for decades.

Instead found that movie quote from War Games:
“What a silly game. The only way to win is not to play.”
Hysterical and sad that people are that dumb!
Take Up the White Mans Privilege
Take up the White Mans privilege
Dumb down the best ye breed
Tax your children to ruin
To serve your oppresseds needs
To wait for every handout
On set asides and bequests
Your new-fraught, sullen peoples,
Half equal and half-inept
Take up the White Mans privilege
In patience to abide
To veil the threat of terror
And check the show of pride;
By PC speech and simple
An hundred times made plain
To ensure anothers profit
And ensure anothers gain
Take up the White Mans privilege
And reap his old shame:
Blamed by those you pity
Racist by birth they claim
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah slowly) to the light:
“Why brought ye us from bondage,
Our loved Egyptian night?
Take up the White Mans privilege
Have done with racist days
The lightly proffered laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to lay down your manhood
Through all the thankless years,
Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom,
The judgment of your peers!
As a parent, I was asked to ‘grade’ a debate tournament at our high school once. ‘Debate’ has devolved into speed talking off of note cards.
Whichever side gets more points in, in the allotted time, wins. There is no discussion of the validity of points, as rebuttal time is just used to read off more points off of note cards.
It was terrible.
It’s got to be Ebonics, written in cursive.
Was this it: "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It only wastes your time and annoys the pig."
Never wrestle with a pig...You’ll just get dirty, and the pig will only enjoy it.
We are devolving
A good freind from my college days in the late 60s was First Speaker one year and he and his team mate won first place the next.
They then did a tour of the English Speaking World going to Britain after that senior year. He made James Earl Jones sound light weight. He is probably shaking his head right now.
BEHOLD!! THE FRUITS OF A (SOMETHING)-STUDIES DEGREE!!
Someone *please* tell me this was some sort of joke debate and it went over my head.
As long as they get the colors right thats all that counts, people with intellect and brains need not apply
"blackety black....n word ....white racist privilege....black....white racism...blackety black..f word...n-word...gibberish....n word...f word with mother mentioned....white racists....blackety black black." Repeat ad nauseum.
That too ;-)
