"...this is becoming the last straw not only with this administration in particular but with big government in general. It's an in-your-face, overly aggressive, overly harsh unnecessary enforcement of a federal court order using militaristic tactics that are not necessary in modern society in order to enforce. And because of people like you and other colleagues of ours here at Fox and even elsewhere the American public is rallying against federal government."
The Judge weighed in to double down on his previous statement that the people have drawn a line in the sand against the bullying of the federal govt. He reiterates regardless of who is right or wrong in this case that the use of heavily armed men and militaristic tactics are not necessary when all the feds had to do was put a lien on Cliven Bundy's property for the unpaid taxes. Instead we witness the heavy-handed thuggery of the obama federal govt.
I don't think it has settled in folks heads yet of how out of control this govt has become. They surrounded a US citizen with a small army, set up sniper positions all over cattle grazing on public land in which taxes haven't been paid!!
As for the rumors of a raid what would be the grounds? Unpaid taxes? Bundy hasn't done anything illegal, he is not running arms, drugs, contraband etc to justify a raid. I highly doubt he has $1 million in cash lying around for the obama stormtroopers to seize. They already tried seizing his cattle and that backfired with a show of strength by the people. People who are still in place and ready to go! If regime stormtroopers did attempt a raid it would end badly for both sides, that said it would be foolish for the feds to go in.

Property tax in general is badly in need of reform. It amounts to either “rent” paid to the government, or a legal version of a mob shakedown.
In any event, the Judge missed a trick when he didn’t tie in the massive overreaction by the FLEAs/LEOs in the aftermath of the Boston bombing: patrolling the streets in armored HMMWVs, driving people from their homes at gunpoint, aiming weapons at anyone looking at them, generally looking foolish by running through peoples’ backyards all dressed up in their soldier costumes pretending to be hard-core “operators”.

I disagree with the headline, not with your reporting.
The headline should read, “The LATEST Straw...”. It is sad to say that I don’t think that the average US citizen has the information, intellect or interest in doing anything about the Bundy situation other than settling into the closest recliner and changing the channel.
I just sayin’...

Not too sure about that. There is an eyewitness report out there stating the highway was filled with thousands of people headed to the ranch, and the media quoted 5000 in attendance for Bundy already.
Also check out the Oathkeepers site as quite a few state reps and other oathkeepers were there too.

What with facial recognition technology,
I’m wondering if the feds will go after those patriots who came to stand tall with Bundy and family???
Ya know the bastards filmed each and every one who was there including their vehicle tag numbers.

Nice rant but why do people keep saying this? It may be a subconscious wish to be where we were as a nation 50 yrs ago.

Let’s review the bidding, can we?
Two democratic administrations about a decade apart. Two cases of massive overreaction to relatively minor legal issues.
Waco - could have been prevented by a simple arrest in town. Instead a massive military based response with a totally unnecessary body count.
Bundy - could have been prevented in a simple court case followed by an arrest. Instead a massive para-military operation that isn’t over yet.
Wonder how much of an overlap the two casts of characters have?

This is #1 of 75 videos on the subject. It might be an idea to download them all considering what happened at the Bundy Ranch this past week.<

using militaristic tactics that are not necessary in modern society in order to enforce
It seems to me, the more civilized we have gotten the more the government and police have seen fit to arm themselves superior to the citizens. When this country was wild and uncivilized, the people were usually better armed than even the military. Starting at the time of the revolution. The Kentucky long rifle was superior to the brown Bess musket. On the frontier the repeating Spencer and the Henry rifles were in the hands of many pioneers before the army had repeating arms as standard issue. Perhaps the only exception would be the Texas Rangers who were equipped with the Patterson revolver very soon after it was on the market.
Now we the people are supposed to register anything that is “black and scary” and the police use armored cars, body armor, etc. as standard issue.
