The Left, the Right, and the Communist Agenda

The history of all ancient societies is the history of class struggle. In each of these we find a complicated arrangement of people into various social, economic, and political orders. Ancient Rome had its patricians, knights, plebeians, and slaves. During the middle ages there were three orders; oratores, bellatores, laborares: this translates as "those who pray", "those who fight", and "those who work".

In the 20th Century we have manage to simplify class antagonism via two distinctive groups who are hostile towards and in direct opposition to each others. They are known simply as The Left, and The Right. Therein lays a complex society whose political, religious, and social ideologies are not always distinguishable from one another – although the two groups think they are.

The need of constantly expanding markets to support their greed has stretched the Right over the entire surface of the globe - nestling, settling and establishing connections everywhere it may find resources for exploitation.

Biased much? What a bunch of hogwash. Every company I've worked for has existed to meet customer needs with solutions the customer demands...at a price lower than the competition. In the course of fulfilling that requirement, we maximize shareholder (owner) wealth. Never once did I see evil people at the helm plotting to "exploit" (in the pejorative sense) workers and resources.

I have worked for 2 small companies that would exploit their workers. By exploit I mean cheat or more to the point, they would steal from the pay of their workers. I have also worked for companies that would make every last dime off a customer that they could. That was our job, we were not there to provide a public service, we were there to make money, as much from each customer as possible. If charging someone more caught up with you the company would go out of business or change the way they do business to meet the competition.
I do not know what kind of work you did but I can assure you that any business that does not make all they can off a customer when they can, regardless of whether the customer could buy the same product elsewhere, cheaper, would soon go out of business.
In the world I have worked in, Christian virtues are reserved for Sunday, much to the detriment of the companies and the customers, and the people that worked there. Welcome to the real world. Flame away.

In before the Humblegunner whine and moan!!

Would you prefer that I "whine and moan!!" about this?

If you've noticed something that needs addressed then why not address it?

You scared?

If you’re scared, say you’re scared.

I didn’t say we were running philanthropies. I said my companies maximized profit and we are out to KILL the competition and put them out of business. We run tight ships and cut costs wherever we can including layoffs when revenues and profits dip.

At the same time, we are in business to deliver value to customers. If we don’t do that, they don’t buy from us. Simple as that.

The leftist slant of the article bugged me. Picturing people on the right side of the spectrum as “greedy” annoys me to no end. Maximizing profit is not greed.

I'm not completely sure, but I think he was making fun of you numb nuts.

Stay off the sauce and maybe you'll be able to keep up a little better.

I think you’re fortunate to work for companies with moral conscience. On the other hand, every corporation claim to exist to supply a consumer need in the areas of competitive prices, maximizing shareholders values, and maintaining a global presense. I agree that no individual plots to exploit workers however when you consider low wages versus corporate profits and often unsafe working environments - particularly where third world countries are concerned then one can easily conclude that the laborers - and the resources are being exploited in the name of meeting customers demands.......and who are the customers, certainly not the workers who provide he cheap labor.

All I can figure for someone who mentions people without pinging them is that they must be scared.

Either that or a douchebag.

I was giving the benefit of the doubt.

Send me a heads up before you post! If I’m free, I’ll be ready to post some preemptive comments before that idiot comes along.

He is singlehandedly the worst thing about FreeRepublic.

Not sure why he is permitted to continue to harangue new Freepers and people trying to add to the conversation.

A waste of air.

Hello Bartholomew....Happy New Year. My apology for the late reply. I’ve been on assignment in the middle east and China. I’m actually not concerned about troll bloggers or their opinions. The only reason I respond to trollers is to agitate
them as I do not take them seriously. In fact trollers stir controversy which results in readership. I have not published any recent posts because I’ve been quite busy. Thanks for the offer but I do not want to silence my enemies. They’re to beneficial to my success.
